HoosierFan1994 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Hey everyone, My wife and I are going to the IU-Purdue game on Black Friday. It's been a long time since I've been at Purdue. I had a few questions for those who may know: 1) Best place to park? I see there are lots of options (or at least it seems that way) around Ross-Ade. 2) How early do you recommend getting there? We usually get to Bloomington 3.5-4 hours before kickoff and have no issues. Just not sure what to expect up there. 3) I am sure there are, but are there any big IU tailgate/meet-ups? Unfortunately with our schedule this year I wasn't able to make it to Memorial Stadium. However, I have to see this team play. skhoosier2 and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote

Disinfect and defumigate all clothing immediately upon leaving. During the game? Alternate between cheering heartily and laughing loudly. Do not look at Purdue players - they have a pertrifying Medusa-style effect that can turn onlookers to stone. mamasa, Class of '66 Old Fart, MemphisHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

Only one minor tweak to your list - BURN all clothing upon leaving as no amount of disinfecting/fumigating will remove the stench! Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Also proven effective against PUke cooties. OliviaPope40 1 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Fun fact about West Lafayette decongestant sales are lowest in the nation as nobody wants to be able to smell while there Stuhoo and OliviaPope40 2 Quote
FortWayneHoosier Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Head north when you smell sh*t, head west until you step in it. you have now successfully landed in Worst Lafayette. Class of '66 Old Fart and Stuhoo 2 Quote
Pagoda Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 It is funny that northernmost highway exit to West Lafayette absolutely smells every time. There is a factory there or something. Tickets to this game are pretty pricey. While some of that is PU fans, I think most of it is IU fans. :-) Quote

Still a TON available through PU directly, starting at I think $45. ALASKA HOOSIER, Pagoda, OliviaPope40 and 1 other 4 Quote

Scotty R Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 I have been to the bucket game once at Purdue and got lucky and were able to park right next to the stadium. One of the parking lot attendants allowed me to park in a private lot even though I didn't have sticker for that lot. He saw I had IU stuff on and he was a fan of IU. The game went to double overtime and we won it so it was a good day despite the cold rain thebigweave 1 Quote
Iufan71 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Best exit to get off at for Ross-Ade on gameday? Also...will there be like an IU pep rally before the game somewhere? My first bucket game as well.....hope IU fans really show up to this one! Lets watch another IU beatdown on Purdue! thebigweave and Pagoda 2 Quote

I know a couple Purdue fans making money selling them to IU fans. Pretty sure it might be an extra home game Stuhoo 1 Quote
Iufan71 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Purdue fans are for sure selling their tickets to IU fans! MemphisHoosier and Pagoda 2 Quote

Stuhoo Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Devin Mockabee of Purdue officially out for the season. Sad that he ends his Purdoo career injured, but he is also their best offensive player and far and away their best pass blocking RB. thebigweave 1 Quote
Iufan71 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Mockabee was Purdue only offensive weapon you could count on. MemphisHoosier, thebigweave and skhoosier2 3 Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted November 4, 2025 Author Posted November 4, 2025 Love the responses! I expect a lot of red and for it to get ugly fast. Probably going to get there around 4:00 and just prepay for a lot near Ross-Ade. Again, only been there once but it seems like a dump. Mackey Arena is kind of cool. I think it's incredibly random it's the NBC primetime game on Black Friday, especially since this decision was made in the offseason. Kind of nice the Bucket game hasn't been the noon BTN game for a few years. OT: Don't forget their coach was running his mouth about Cig this off-season. I hope it's worse than 66-0. thebigweave, skhoosier2, southsidehoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
