Wisconsin rental houses within one block of Camp Randall Stadium had keggers on the porch roofs before each home game.

In all fairness, when I was a student at IU you could bring whatever you wanted into Memorial Stadium, as long as it was covered.

Many pony legs and gallon milk cartons full of alcoholic concoctions were “smuggled “ in to help us forget about the product on the field.

ESPN had another update for Mickens, https://www.espn.com/college-football/recruiting/story/_/id/46792662/college-football-recruiting-lsu-penn-state-ohio-state-auburn-flips-visitsTL:DR The RB is finalizing visits to Indiana, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.  Unless Mickens plans to visit during a bye, I would assume Cig and Coach Miller are targeting hosting for the Wisconsin game in two weeks.

Additionally the article mentions WR Davion Brown as another flip to keep an eye on from PSU.  Indiana, Maryland, and K-State are mentioned as primary contenders here.  Something worth watching, the staff has 2x WR committed for '26 (Rupert and Bryson) and are reportedly leading for former PSU commit Lavar Keys - does the staff take 4x WR in the class?  Personally, I could see it with so much offensive firepower moving on after the season - looking at Williams, Sarratt, Brady, Jackson (who entered the portal), and potentially Omar - and these things just work themself out.

247 is reporting that Mickens will be in town for the Wisconsin game next weekend with a planned visit to Oklahoma on 11/28.

With three games left here is where the staff sits on RS Decisions.  TL:DR there are six Freshmen to keep an eye on with three games remaining. Of the six, I expect Reese and Baldwin Jr. to be the two most likely to eclipse the >4 mark.

Group I - Have Exceeded the > 4 game threshold

Sr. - Sarratt, Brady, Staes, Wyatt, Daley, Fisher, McCarthy

Jr. - Ponds, Ferrell

So.- Becker, Nduckwe, Landino, Hardy

Fr. - Bond and Jaylen Bell

Group II - Played 2-4 Games (# Games Played)

Fr. - Chandler (2 gm), Marek (2 gm), Wilkin (3 gm),  PJ Nelson (2 gm), Garrett Reese (4 gm), Baldwin Jr. (2 gm)

Group III - Will Redshirt for the '25 Season (Played 0-1 Games)

Sr. - Tyler Morris (Injured)

Fr.  - Jacob Bell, Cuono, Kendrick, Thiry, Barker, Parker, Calhoun, Burrus Jr., Abram, Hall, Garcia, Amari Kamari, Zacharey Smith, Seaonta Stewart

With two games remaining the redshirt conversation is coming into view with few decisions remaining for the staff.  The PSU game was Garrett Reese's fifth game, burning his redshirt, while Marek and PJ Nelson did not see any time on the field, meaning their redshirt will be used for the '25 campaign. The only remaining players in question of redshirting this season are Chandler, Wilkin, and Baldwin Jr, each at 3 game appearances.  One additional note, any post-season game action will not count towards the redshirt 4 game rule.

I just got into my HS classroom and sat down at my desk. I was just thinking about how truely BLESSED we being Indiana Hoosiers!

I was just relishing over our success and how teams try to prepare for us on both sides of the ball. All I could come up with was ........Pick Your Poison!!!!

Lord have Mercy!

Question..

With Sarratt out I thought Williams would have 2 monster games but he was pretty quiet.

Becker looked unreal.

When Sarratt returns would you give Becker some of Williams 3rd receiver snaps?

I think a few, but despite his flaws EJ still has a ton of talent/experience and has had some big games this year. We’ll need him in the playoffs*.

*I still can’t believe I’m saying something like that without a qualifying statement.

I don't know the overall scheme but if I had to guess, Becker was the WR left with the best matchups. I'm assuming both Coop and Williams had a lot of attention in the coverages? Honestly, no clue though.

Just thinking about it. December 6th could be a huge day in Indy for IU

At full strength I think we can give OSU a game. If we have key people out, our backups are not as good as theirs. It's just where we are as a program right now. I think Cignetti gets us in a couple of more cycles but we are not there right now.

What's Evan's injury? We think it's precautionary or a legit?

The current report says that he is dealing with a "lower-body injury". Cignetti said that Evans will be out for a period of time. The exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed., but it sounds more "legit" than "precautionary".

Evans had previously missed the end of the 2024 season due to an Achilles injury... not sure if this is related to that or not.

HIPAA gets in the way of us knowing the actual truth.
