I’m no sports psychologist, but some of this game may be Cig wanting to give Illinois and Iowa plenty of game tape showing how we’re a running football team. He knows what Sarratt and Cooper can do. Maybe not show your hand before the games that will decide the season by showing a different style team this year than last. Long game strategy.

Honestly, Mendoza just needs to execute the play that's called. This game he needs to basically hand the ball off.

It’s a testament to how good Juice and Lawton were that Black was a distant 3rd option last year, because he is electric.

Called the back shoulder throw to Sarratt. Mendoza just didn’t throw a good ball.  Running on 3rd down from that distance is just plain questionable.  
 

I realize we win this game handing off the ball, I just want to see Mendoza get chances to get in a better rhythm.

Juice was an underrated Hoosier. He was so tough.

I really like that the defense is getting better as the game goes on. They will be the difference makers this season.
