This sounds like another situation where the player spoke with the staff and it was a general mutual parting of ways.  Or put differently, IU isn't upset they decommitted.

I'm a little bit of a homer on this view, but I suspect we may be shifting to better prospects.  This season has opened some new doors as Cig likes to say.  To some these decommits/parting of ways may seem kinda harsh and cutthroat, but it's what the bigger programs do and just the nature of hyper-competitive CFB.

My interpretation is that we're making space for a killer portal class.
