Would be willing to bet a fairly painful amount of money that not only will Moody be a team captain, but before he’s a Senior. He’s one of those kids. IUHoosier5 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 This kid could…will become a Lamar-level scorer in due time. He looked just like him in that video - just no hair! Quote

There is no program that wouldn’t be better off with that kid than without him. Great get by Kenny. Looking forward to seeing him as a Hoosier next year. Sounds like a high character young man to help build the program. Quote

As much as I like Moody if he’s your PG next year either someone has gotten hurt, maybe a couple of someone’s, or their plans really went sideways somehow. He has some PG traits and he has the chance to evolve into a primary facilitator down the line, but he’s not Kinney or Rippey who’ve always been PG’s. That would be asking a lot. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 I'm not absolutely certain, but I think this may have been Moody's last game of his high school career. Paul VI features Jordan Smith (Arkansas) and Bishop McNamara has been missing Qayden Samuels for many weeks due to injury. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Jordan Smith is gonna be a handful. Calipari made a smart move on that one. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 22 Author Posted February 22 I could not routinely find box score info for Moody. From various sources I can give you averages for 15 of his games: 19.1p, 4.7r, 3.8a, 1.5s, .1b, 3.0t For 10 games, I found actual box scores for his shooting stats: 48% FG, 42% on 3s, 82% FT The team played a total of 31 games so the info above is from a fairly limited sample but the best I can offer. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 Opening round of the MD Private School State Basketball Tournament #9 seed McNamara over #8 seed St. Andrew's 70-65 and on Saturday will face #1 seed Georgetown Prep. No idea why, but Moody did not play. mamasa 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 #9 seed McNamara knocked off the #1 seed Georgetown Prep 59-53 and they did it without Moody and Qayden Samuels. Still haven't determined why Moody has not played in the 2 tournament games. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM McNamara beaten by Springdale Prep 65-63 in a semifinal game of the MDPSSBT and I believe Moody's high school career is now officially over. The box score indicates he played just 3 min. having not played at all in the 2 previous games. Have to believe he suffered some kind of injury and if so, what's the nature and severity. mamasa 1 Quote
