Coaching Changes believes that Jerrod Calhoun (Utah State) will be targeted by West Virginia.

Chris Collins and Richard Pitino Jr are thought to be in the mix for the Villanova job.

SI mentioning Ben McCollum, Bucky McMillan, and Jerrod Calhoun as fits for Iowa.

Idk where to put this, but if I were WVU, I'd try to get into the ACC tomorrow.

ACC football is pretty mid, and that is more of a money driver than basketball.  And with Florida State and Clemson considering leaving the ACC in the near future, the football money starts to dry up.

They stated they aren't. Travel expenses for WVU alone would be worth the move. I don't really see the difference between ACC and B12 football? Didn't the ACC get two teams in the CFP and B12 one?

Yeah, did a fair bit of reading about WVU last night and Calhoun was literally the only name coming up. Apparently was an Asst under Huggins for several years. Gotta confess, feel pretty bad, not too bad, about the WVU situation and I’m gonna be rooting pretty good next year.

I'm not sure the travel expenses would be all that different given who is in the ACC now.  The ACC getting two teams in the playoffs this year was more of a result of Clemson beating SMU in the conference championship -- if that doesn't happen, they only get one team in.  Big 12 football was down this year.

I don't know the details of each of their television deals.  I don't know that each conference had their deals extending this year.  The ACC did change their method of revenue distribution in order to keep Clemson and Florida State from leaving that was more in favor or those two schools.

B12 football just also isn't very good.

Traveling wouldn't be much different, huh? Cinci is the ONLY B12 team that's close. Meanwhile in the ACC--- VT, UVA, UNC, NCST, Duke, Clemson, GT, Louisville, Pitt, and WF is incredibly closer than any of the next closest schools in the B12. Travel expenses would go down quite a bit, compared to going to BYU, AZ, AZST, Utah, Colorado, TTU, TCU....

Even ND, FL ST, and BC are closer than anyone in the B12.

I don't disagree that the current Big 12 football isn't very good and travel expenses would go down some.   But I think ACC football is even worse and are headed down a path that will eventually see teams bolting -- particularly the money drivers.  FWIW, Sagarin rates the average ACC team as five points worse than the average Big 12 team last season.

Wade to NC State is done according to Yahoo.

unfortunately this is a match made in heaven or hell, take your pick.  But the odds of NC State being in the next 5-6 tournaments is quite high.  I won't be shocked at all to see him really crushing it.

They are gone in 2030 with the newly adjusted exit fee and GOR.

I kinda like Wade, but he’s not so good it’s especially lamentable.  And didn’t he lie to LSU?  I get he was playing the game paying players, okay fine, but lying to an employer too is a reasonable concern.  Whatever, we didn’t hire him.
