#7 Illinois defeated #15 Iowa 106-94 because Iowa was severely handicapped by the fact their beloved coach was ejected in the 2nd half.  #7 Illinois faces #2 Maryland on Saturday.

With the Big 10 expanding so much will the tournament stay in the midwest or will there be years it branches out to be closer to some of the new schools?

As the Toiletmakers went through their little routines as the starting lineups were introduced tonight, Loyer's teammate did a "pat-down" on him.

Not sure exactly what that meant, but shouldn't the pat-down be on the Amish boy? He's the one who mainlines heroin after every 3-pointer.

"I didn't know that Desmond was so physical, but he was tonight, I guess," USC coach Eric Musselman said. "The game's on tape, so anybody can watch it. It doesn't do me any good to sit up here and get fined or whatever. The game is reviewable for anybody that wants to. When Buzo dug down in the post, that's as clean as can be. At 16-17 overall, USC will not make the NCAA Tournament in its first year under Musselman's leadership. A run through the Big Ten Tournament was the Trojans' lone path to a March Madness bid.

"I saw what everybody saw, you know what I mean?" Musselman said of the no-call in the closing seconds. "All you've got to do is go on Twitter. Look, we played well enough to win. That's all I can say. I'm going to keep reiterating give Purdue credit. We're new, we've got to earn respect."
