Mack literally can’t stay in front of his guy. He gets lost in defensive rotations and doesn’t make the hustle plays. He reacts two beats late on everything.
The amount of points he costs us on that end outweighs what he can do offensively, especially given he’s had multiple awful shooting nights this year.

This is an overall garbage take, but I’m feeling generous today so I’ll let you keep it.

Lost in translation. Woodson completely fails to run a perimeter or wing game. Ignoring Bako’s talent is silly. Thanks for the obnoxious garbage comment, brilliant

We've won four games over the last seven weeks.

In those, MM has averaged UNDER 15 min/game also while shooting a combined 2/20 from the field. 10%!

He’s not at all integral to this squad being successful. I’d argue his defensive and hustle liabilities do more harm than the good his offensive game can sometimes bring.

He’s also just a 32% three point shooter, which is sad given his stroke and FT percentage.
The kid can’t do anything off the dribble. He averages more turnovers than assists. If he’s not getting the ball with a huge window he’s probably going to miss or dribble it off his foot.
He doesn’t impact winning like you think he does.

This is so silly, I'm not going to debate your pointedly self-serving selective game picks. He was either our most or one of our most productive players for multiple games despite Woodson having zero perimeter schemes for outside shooting or otherwise any outside offense. Yeah, he's a McD's player but you're right, he's terrible. Sorry I'm not interested in your engaging in your continuing player bashing.  We are a terrible team because of Woodson, that's the root cause with no perimeter schemes and dysfunction has reared its head a few times now. IF -- IF -- guys like Bako can learn from riding the bench and then come back and play hard and bring the kind of focus and production they did earlier, then we're absolutely a better team. A team led by players who would be on the bench anywhere else goes nowhere. I like Leal, absolutely love his effort level and general court awareness over the past few. But starting player? Here under Woodson, seems like it. Going anywhere into March? Nope. But I'm done with this discussion, have your "garbage" take on our players and run with it.

You seem pretty tied to his burger boy status as a measure of him being a productive on-court player for us RIGHT NOW.

Maybe he should don the McD AA jersey in our games and he’d actually compete with some real intensity on defense. I’d imagine it wouldn’t make a difference. He’s pretty darn flawed.

I think we win by 15 tonight.  In the last several weeks, one of the assistant coaches or Wittman finally got Woodson to understand that having the most offensively talented players on the floor at the same time isn't always the best unit to have on the floor.

I really hope this isn't a trap coming coming off of a big win.  Historically this is a game where we lay an egg.

Let's break the cycle and pound the nits!

I’m rather expecting it. Don’t know why but I actually got my tourney hopes up a little after the MSU win. Then we laid an egg at home vs UCLA. Just very little effort.

Has woodson and company learned their lesson? Or will we have a momentum killing lineup with 2 bigs and go down double digits at some point. I say run that second half lineup till it officially don't work and rotate the big fella! Ready to find out!

Hoping for the win. I would love to see us have some success here. As long as it doesn’t cause us to make a rash decision.

I would like to see this team come close to its potential!  At least now I don't have to worry about Woody being here next year!

This is definitely a must win and I hate that phrase. Hoping to win these next 4 and go dancing. March Madness just isn't as fun for me when IU is not partaking. Now it'd also be great to not have our doors blown off in the process but let's just start by making it.

On the contrary.  Be very worried.  If Woody's team wins out and makes a mark post season...

Well, it ain't over until the fat chair of the BOT says it's over.
