I think we win tonight. Honestly, the best circumstance for this team after the rout at home against Illinois was to go on the road for the next couple of games against very average teams. No doubt Woodson will be walking in with his head held super high on Sunday if we beat a mediocre NW team.
We shall see. I am very interested in what happens. We didn't look great at ohio state but neither did they. Ohio state played pretty tough up at wacky last night. Northwestern looked great at michigan imo. Iu imo hasn't looked great to me very often this season. So with all that said who in the he'll knows what will happen tonight. I am scared to bet on it. If I was I would take Northwestern and give the points

I live in Chicago and would normally always go to this game. But I can't bring myself to spend money watching this team. (after dropping $800 to watch IU in playoffs haha)

I'll be curious as to the fan split tonight and whether I'm an anomaly or the norm.

I’m in Northern Indiana ( way north of Muncie;), and I went annually. The last few years me and my buddies have been sporadic at best. This will be the 2nd trip in a row I have skipped. Combination of crap product and old achy knees road tripping in the dead of winter lol

Even though Malik is listed as questionable, The Daily Hoosier is reporting that he has practiced multiple times this week and looks likely to play tonight.

I expect the starting lineup to either be:

  • Ballo, Mgbako, Goode, Leal, and Rice, (the same as last game) with Malik first off the bench, or
  • Ballo, Reneau, Goode, Leal, and Rice, which is exactly what Mgbako has merited.

I swear, if Goode gets taken out of the starting lineup and Mack stays in, ima gonna screeeeeeem.

Personally, I would go with Ballo, Reneau, Goode, Galloway, and Rice.  Mgbako right now is off and defensively he's been really, really bad.  Minute distribution is going to more important than who starts, though.  Mgbako certainly can shoot but he still hasn't shown much in terms of offensive movement or flow which is why I think it's hard to have Ballo, Reneau, and MM all on the floor together.

That said, I think you might be screaming because it certainly won't surprise me if Goode is pulled from the lineup.

Bako imo is due for a bounce back game, and importantly his potential shooting opens the floor.

He’s been waaayyy off, but coming into his slump was our best or second best scorer / outside shooter, and teams respect his outside shooting— those of you advocating against him are not considering how the potential shooting on the floor affects the D, even when he’s in a slump, his scouted shooting opens lanes and generally the floor. Gallo does not do that.

It’s hard for this to sink in for me but IU has lost 5 of the last 6 games at Northwestern.
Just crazy/unacceptable/mind boggling.

I was shocked when he said that.  Used to be an easy win and a lot of fan support from northern Indiana at the games.  I guess N.W. has been a lot better recently and y'all know the rest of that sentence.

Rice

Leal

Goode

Mgbako

Ballo

Is your starting lineup tonight

That surprises me a little.  Will have to see what the minute breakdown looks like tonight.  I'm sure Galloway will get more minutes than Leal.  Also to be seen how much Reneau plays and if it will be indicative of the roles in the future.  Also.....if Mgbako plays well enough to not get pulled.

Sounds like limited minutes for Reneau

Still hoping Mgbako snaps out of it.

Good call, but I was looking forward to the even keeled @Stuhoo having a meltdown

Glad to see he’s coming off the bench! Need MM to stay on the floor this game.
