5 or so of those just dumb shots too.  Goode needs to start hitting his open looks. Essegian looks like the real shooter out there.

I thought Woodson should have tried to recruit him out of the portal!

Mgabko, Reneau, Rice, and Carlyle with two fouls each for IU.

Gray, Worster, and Morgan with two fouls each for Nebraska.

Goods:  Nebraska with only one offensive rebound.    Didn't wilt after the horrid start.  Just four turnovers.  Don't think Nebraska could have shot better than they did and we are right there.

Bads:  Gave up 65% from the field.  Carlyle and Tucker forcing shots.  Leal was in and played okay defense but he HAS to make himself at least a viable option on the other end.  He isn't even looking at the basket.

Nope. Refs won’t allow it and we won’t stay hot enough on offense to overcome our terrible defense.

We are seeing what we get from Big Ten refs.  I have no idea what they are watching.  Touch fouls on some things but guys getting killed don't get calls.  What I worry about is typically in Big Ten play they call a loose game in the first half and then in the second half they call everything.   If they do that here, lots of guys are going to be fouling out.

Not sure if you’re making a joke but he did try lol

At this point there isn't any secret to guarding Essegian.  Don't sag...period. He's isn't going to be at anyone to the hoop.  On offense we need to working to get a switch where he has to play defense.

Nebra$$holes were 7/7 beginning of the game, and a lot of their circus shots are falling. Some of them all I could do was throw my hands up, shake my head and laugh.

MM has played 33 seconds. He’s getting paid to play only one half. Only in America!

I thought on the second call he 'fouled' the ball.  That said, he put himself in that position by committing a stupid foul early and being out of position and having to reach on the second foul.

Mixed feelings at the half.  We played with good energy on both ends of the floor.  However, too many defensive lapses lead to 44 first half Nebraska points.  Offensively, we took and hit three-point shots.  We also played with a lot of energy.  I felt that we took too many quick shots.  If the break isn't there, we need to work for good look and just not the first look.

Ballo had a couple of blocks but I think he could have had a field day if he had left his man and played help defense.  Rather have forced Nebraska to to make the pass and have their big men score.

Other than some of the shot selection from Carlyle and maybe 1 quick trigger from Tucker, I couldn't be happier. 16 minutes alternating bigs. Goode at the 4 and several minutes of 3 guard offense.

We should start 4 seniors and a freshman the second half and alternate the bigs at every media timeout. Let Mgbako back up Goode and see if he wakes up and work Rice and Carlyle in for 10 minutes a piece.

Woody found something with his rotations. Shots will fall if he stays with it.
