I kinda wonder if our next QB just hit the portal... Veltkamp from WKU is in. Nothing other than a gut feeling.

He hasn't entered the portal but man if Mike Green out of Marshall hits the portal he's gonna make some bank.

Not sure where you're getting that number. Unless he has a ton of fumbles I'm not seeing, it's less than half of that.

I'm seeing 25 passing touchdowns, seven rushing touchdowns, ten interceptions, and one fumble for the 2024 season

I'm guessing the article I read had it wrong, said 23 turnovers (int/fumbles) in 750 snaps. I checked his sports reference page and only showed 10 picks.

Should've double checked first.

I wonder if they mixed that up with his Passing TD since he did have 23 of those.

No, it said he had 30 TD total which he did (23 passing/7 rushing).

Helton has in the past, but game logs don’t really paint much of a picture one way or another. Veltkamp doesn’t have a Zappe-esque number of attempts per game and they don’t have any backs with a bunch of carries either so I’m not sure what they were doing. I watched 0 minutes and 0 seconds of WKU this year.

Saw he has an Auburn and Ole Miss visits scheduled. How ridiculous is it that IU’s pitch against a school like Auburn is, “Come to Bloomington and play meaningful games.”
