22 schollies will for sure be available as soon as our season is over----- that does NOT include Kamara (who will probably leave), Kidwell (med RS?), McCormick+Evans (who I am not sure of the scholly status)

Doesn't put it in ink, but all those listed went through senior day. Wouldn't be surprised if we're touching 40 by the time guys get sent packing. And I'd think some will go before the playoffs because the portal window is only open for a week after the first round.

I just don't know if the kickers are on scholly.

So, if Kidwell+Kamara are gone... that's 28 (counting the midseason guys). I assume that number gets to, at least, 32.

We have 22 incoming FR committed, as of now. One of those are a K.

99% certain Evans is a scholarship. Can't say on DM.

I'm waiting on the All-conference announcements. Once those drop, I'll have a wish list. Regardless, front 5 and front 7 need to be addressed for depth.

For example, someone like Red Murdock, LB out of Buffalo, will more than likely be an all-conference. He's a SO from VA. I wouldn't be surprised if he's caught the eye of Coach Haines.

Eric O'Neil and Khairi Manns out of JMU are other names to keep an eye on.

we have significantly fewer holes than last year, though....

WR-- Sarratt, Cooper, Becker

RB-- Black+Green+Khobie Martin

OL- Evans (on the mend), Lynch, Smith..... I also assume Nick Kidwell can get a med RS, that would be a boost.

QB- Tayven, 2 FR

DL- Tucker, Burris, Landino, Ndukwe... (Kamara has eligibility, but I would think he's gone)

LB- Fisher, does Walker have more eligibility? Hardy, Jones

DB- Ponds, Ferrell, Johnson, Sharpe---- DBs have a chance to be excellent.

All of those guys have eligibility?!!? Holy crap - I didn't realize things were that good for next year. Had no idea that Fisher, Black (and Sarratt) would be back. Hardy was a zero star late addition that has military background and looks great. Isaiah Jones? I thought he was Fisher's natural replacement for next year but together that is an incredible pair - that kid can really really play.

To me it looks like we need a veteran QB, two slot-quick WRs, a RB, two or three O linemen and maybe two D linemen. That's not really all that much for a portal haul given our now-earned reputation as "an emerging superpower" heeheeheehee.

Anyone that doesn't rank IU at the start of next year is going to be proven very, very wrong.

By the powers vested in all of the fans and the administration and the media and all others that have ever even walked the hallowed halls and areas of SSAH and The Rock, and/or have frequented this excellent site, you are hereby granted a conditional pardon and made a honorary true fan and provisionally excused from any and all SNAFUs and brain farts until the end of the season.  Unless, of course, Indiana loses a football game or a basketball game which is rumored to have been your fault or anybody's fault, or no fault, including Woody's fault, can't be Cig's fault, or refs' faults.  Additionally, unless, of course, we otherwise change our minds...and communicate that fact on this site.  Except, provided however, that you do not enter the top half of any prediction thread results.  To this we dutifully and faithfully communicate our opinions as facts.

(Maybe, just maybe, I had one too many cups of coffee.)

(Portalstravaganza is definitely worth the price of admission.  Well done.)

As soon as I saw the phrase "conditional pardon" I was worried.

We'll see on QB. That's an interesting discussion. I think I'm higher on most than Tayven.

Need some scat, for sure, Keyshawn Williams and Price do good things for this team. DT is a worry, but Tucker has played well, Burrus has experience...

OL- I mentioned two guys to develop, Evans won't be ready to start the year. I would be pretty shocked not to see 3 OL in the portal.

I know I keep hitting the senior day video, but was really surprised to see Jailin Walker in it. I thought he had more eligibility than that. Would really like to see him back.

Myles Price is awesome, but I'm REALLY going to miss KeShawn Williams. That guy is electric and has made some gigantic plays this season. We'll have some real talent to replace even with Omar and Sarratt (hopefully) coming back.

Jailin is just out of eligibility, I believe. He's so good lol crazy good.

CFB 25 has it wrong :( I think he's the first class to not get the COVID year and it screwed me up. My morning is ruined.

Hard to believe that we replaced 'little crappy Tom Allen RB/kick return whiz guy' with KeShawn and Myles P.

'Little Tom Allen rb/kick return whiz guy' thought he was leaving the 17th best team in the B1G IU for #11 team nationally FSU. Maybe the worst instincts ever by 'little Tom Allen RB/kick return whiz guy'. hahahahahaaaaaaaa

yeah, but what's weird.. Sports Reference has it wrong too. :(

Our website (his bio page) has 2021 as playing in 11 games or something like that. Horton played in only a handful as a FR, too, or we'd have him back. sigh

Come to think of it... replacing Horton will be as difficult as replacing any that aren't Rourke.

Especially after Cig twice met Bomba at the sidelines Saturday night with the easily lip-read phrase "BOMBA!! WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING?"

Harold Fannin or Tanner Koziol, please and thank you.

Cooper Barkate, WR from Harvard. 1st team All-Ivy (63/1084/11 this season) Econ major, from Mater Dei HS in CA. The film probably tells the story here, but interesting on the surface. Held some big time offers out of HS...ND, Oregon, Purdue (lol).

When do the roster size changes take effect? At some point soon, kickers will have to be on scholarship since walk-ons will not be allowed.
