Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 26, 2025 Author Posted February 26, 2025 Now this is playing team basketball when 2 players both break the previous season assist record. Zachary's been on campus at least once and maybe the next coach will have more interest in him. He's listed as 5'10" which doesn't automatically disqualify him from high major bball but it is a hurdle nonetheless. cybergates and moyemayhem 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 30, 2025 Author Posted April 30, 2025 247 reports Coach Adams is in this morning to see Gardner. As a side note, coaches can't contact sophomores directly but can contact his high school coaches and his parents and watch him in a workout. Also, we have reaffirmed the offer that was extended by the previous administration. taco corp, mamasa, fwgreenway and 2 others 4 1 Quote

Imagine for a bunch of reasons this is priority 1, or really close to it, for ‘27. But you just KNOW what’s gonna happen: IU’s gonna land Gardner who proceeds to have a really good FR year and heads to the draft. Meanwhile, Purdue signs Zachary away from a bunch of MM’s and the kid spends 4 years sticking 3’s in our eye. mike vannice 1 Quote

Here's another take; Gardner thinks he's a possible one and done, and elects to be one close to home so that friends and family can see him play in his one year of college ball before his dreams become a one way NBA ticket to Sacramento or Portland. And then, if he's merely a late first/early second rounder? Another year in college at $2 million is all of the sudden a better option. Quote

And if Gardner’s good enough to go after a year, that’s really good as well. I’m more whining about the inevitable Painter thing where Zachary chooses them from a final 4 of PU, Toledo, some directional Michigan school and maybe DePaul and then shoots 45% from 3 every year and he and Luke Ertel are just a straight pain in the a$$ together for 3 years. And that is complementing both of them. Quote

Demo Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 Curious: Per Kayser, Gardner has scheduled 5 fall visits and Indiana is not 1 of them. Hard to imagine they wouldn’t stay on him but maybe they’ve just decided they’ve got their ‘27 PG. Quote

At 6'4", Branham can play the 2 so they could be on the floor together. I saw a 247 story by Dushawn London about the visits and he says that some other visits are being worked on, Indiana was one of those. Here's the story, I think it's behind a paywal. https://247sports.com/article/four-star-guard-jason-gardner-jr-sets-multiple-visits-254419505/ Demo and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
