Horton got blindsided by a helmet-to-helmet hit. 

The receiver was defenseless but the Fisher targeting was even more egregious cuz the receiver went for his head with his head. The refs are 1/3 on targeting calls tonight.

Player protection is very important.  Concussions are serious.  It's just that you don't want to have to kill momentum.

He may have been “defenseless” the the guy basically stopped and hit him with a shoulder.  Didn’t lay him out like the old days.

Yeah I doubt anyone disagrees with that. The rule sucks as it’s currently constituted.

I think what pisses me off the most about the targeting rule is the automatic ejection, and subsequent game penalty.  If there is that much subjectivity to the rule, the player should never be ejected.
