And yet Halliburton and Tatum sit.

In reality I’m fine with Tyrese sitting because of all of his bumps and bruises through the year. I’d rather the Pacers be good to go than team USA, but not playing Tatum is just strange. We won’t get away with this garbage from the coaching staff in 2028.

Because on the Celtics Tatum is a big wing/four man that scores in iso; clear a side of the court for him and let him go to work. That won't happen on the Olympic team and he isn't a good enough shooter to play a standing wing position. In this Olympics Tatum is actually averaging 20 minutes per game; only 0.5 mpg less than Durant. Tatum is shooting 38.9% from the floor and hasn't made a three (Durant is 57.9% fg and 61.1% 3 pt). Who should Tatum be taking minutes from...LeBron, Durant? LeBron has been (by far) the best player on the team, and Durant has been the best, most consistent big wing scorer.

So, LeBron and Durant have Tatum's minutes. And if they don't then Booker, White, Adebayo have his minutes. All are shooting way better, except White, who is better but not by a ton (40.1% fg/33% 3pt).

And Derrick White over Haliburton? White is a super-intuitive defender that is best without the ball in his hands. For five-ten minutes a game that is a good thing to be. That is not who Haliburton is.

Eek. White is just bad. But agree with @Hovadipo that I’d rather Haliburton be healthy for the P’s. He has a chance, imo, to he the P’s next Reggie- the star that carries them (man I miss Reggie)

How about running for a Bronze with Covid?
That’s freaking impressive. Had to be carried off. Didn’t get to run heathy for the Gold and get the double that so few have accomplished, but running for Bronze in the 200 with Covid is just as impressive in my book. Warrior.

Have to agree. The first time I had COVID I could barely walk up the stairs. Running 200m? Impossible, for me at least.

Hoping the US will manage to win more gold than China. USA! USA! USA!

It might be impossible for me now to run the 200m, err, without Covid…

I cannot believe what I just saw Steph Curry do.

It is gonna be hard to ever watch basketball again because nothing and nobody will ever top the performance in the last 2:30 of the Olympic gold medal game by Steph Curry.

It probably isn’t even close to the end for him still, but that felt like a necessary cap to a great career. So glad we got to see him finally play for the US.
