Rob Cassidy on '27 prospects.  Unfortunately he omitted IU in the list of offes.

Possibly the best-known name in the 2027 class, Oladotun is already a national recruit. When he’s at his best, he looks like a top-five prospect in the class based on his 6-foot-9 frame and developing skill set. He projects as a modern, versatile wing that can defend any position. He’s capable of putting the ball on the floor and creating in the post as well as on the perimeter.

The polish and consistency aren’t there just yet, and the Maryland-based star will need to add weight while he becomes a more reliable outside shooter, but the pro potential is obvious to anyone that has watched him play. Oladotun averaged 14 points and 3.7 assists per game while running with Team Durant in the EYBL 15u division this summer.

Recruitment: Oladotun already boasts a lengthy offer list, which will continue to grow quickly in the coming years. Programs such as Texas, Florida State, UCLA, Cincinnati, Maryland, USC and Ole Miss have already offered.

We have a massive amount of talent in the state of Indiana. J. Mitchell is in Evansville and the first offer we through put is to a kid that will be in the AJ Dybansta category while Underwood is working Mitchell.

Although he had an IU offer from Woody, DDV and staff seem to have no interest in him.  Will the re-class change their mindset?  Stay tuned to this thread for any late breaking developments.   :-D      He's consistently been a top 10 rated player in the '27 rankings by all 3 services.

On shear talent it’s a no brainer, but physically he’s a ways off. Kind of the opposite of Jordan Smith. Smith will be a monster next year in college but his NBA fit is a little funky. Oladotun is probably not physically ready to dominate in college next year but in about 4 years he’s gonna be a stone  killer on the wing in the NBA.

On your description this is exactly the sort of kid that’s a bit of a stay away for me. Not a character judgment or anything, but a competitive/resource heavy recruitment with the chance to be more frustrating than helpful to winning for one year…

I just think the kid needs to be in the right situation with appropriate expectations. Flagg, Dybantsa, those kids classed up because they were just ready to be top 2 options on really good teams. I imagine on a good 26-27 college team he’s probably a 3rd option.  More like Nate Ament’s gonna be this year rather than Cam Boozer.  But I’d buy futures in that kid all day.

Elite talent and ridiculously young. Had the most dominant stretch in any EYBL game I watched last year while playing up. Had a 12pt/5reb/2stl/2bl quarter where he looked like Kevin Durant. Will be playing college games next season before he turns 18.
