Entering the portal is only 15 days now. So that helps speed up the process some

Anyway, here’s one Indianapolis HS head coach’s take; not some wanna be sportscaster or click-baiter. Tony Adranga is pretty good at breaking down film; this is his year in review, warts and all. He cites the terrible roster build as we all do, but he also talks scheme, starting at the 4min, 45 sec mark:

Now, find a similar or higher level coach that has criticized Devries’ schemes and adjustments.

A little late on this, but everything out of Ann Arbor consistently suggests that UofM's budget this year has been overstated. Not sure why they'd be so insistent that they didn't spend $12+ million if that was accurate.

It’s easy to inflate the numbers of Mara and Johnson in retrospect, given both have blossomed into potential first round picks. But Mara was a project and Morez couldn’t start on an average Illinois team. Neither of these two were commanding bidding wars among multiple suitors.

I like DDV, but he has to make the tourney next season, or bye bye!  We have to show some growth and we need to have a direction that we are aiming towards!  We need to know who the majority of our team is every year.

If 4 years was the prerequisite prior to NIL, 2 years should cover it post-NIL!

Even if we barely make it next year, that gives us 1 junior and 3 sophomores heading into 2028.  That is something to build off of, not including the portal!

Cig relies on ASST coaches. I don't know that Dusty does.

I’m not doing anything other than stating facts lol. Not sure what Woodson deserving a 4th year and what Michigan spent on their basketball roster this year have to do with one another. Oh well.

Dusty has been heavily accused of tampering and tampering early and often.  Seems to be disliked by a lot of B1G coaches. 
 

Morez Johnson was highly regarded. Not sure what that’s all about. 
 

Trey McKinney is a 5 star and I think his payment is underestimated.  I also think the returners were underestimated.  
 

it’s whatever in the end. He built one of the best rosters in the B1G in a long time. And he did it for 9-13 million.  We need his negotiation tactics as much as we need anything.

You wanted Woodson to have a 4th year when most of us wanted him gone to get Dusty!  But I digress...You can play this same album over and over.

We shall see...I'm not off the DDV wagon yet, but I think this upcoming season is make or break!
