Fire Coach Woodson Thread

Thinking about IU basketball, Mike Woodson, and Scott Dolson today made me think of one of my favorite NewsRadio episodes.  One of the broadcasters, Bill McNeal, was called adequate in an article.  He kept trying to act like adequate was a compliment, while others tried to explain it was not.  Mike Woodson's results his first 2 years were adequate, not good, not great, and definitely not outstanding.  Inexplicably, IU gave him a raise and another year on his contract.  Has the administration's goal for the basketball program been set so low that adequate in the first 2 years and below adequate in year 3 automatically gets a coach a 4th year?  Will we be happy with adequate again in year 4?  The thought sickens me that something I once enjoyed immensely is in the hands of caretakers that are fine with adequate.

True... but substitute "mediocre" for "adequate" and I'm all in...

Given what he had talent-wise year 1 and 2, one win between the two NCAA Tournament games is definitely below "adequate". And this year with HIS team, HIS recruits, and HIS coaching, we're barely mediocre... and he has a bare cabinet waiting for him in 2024... just end this crap show now...

Woodson visiting Mullins tonight to watch his game. Guess 1 day was enough to save up for the portal recruiting season.

Another joke. Surely Dolson is just adding these into the chamber for when it comes time to fire.

The knee-jerk reflex stock vector. Illustration of pressure ...

I went to a weekend at my wife’s Uncle lake house in 2015 about an hour south of Louisville. Big UK/Louisville fans, and of course they were blowing me sh!t about the state of IU basketball.

I promptly turned, went into the house . . . everyone thought I was mad - until I came back out wearing this:

Then we turned the discussion to hookers . . . what do you know, everyone all of a sudden was talking about ski boats! Lol

LMAO, perfect responses for both UK and UL.  Best thing about the Cards this year is UK and the Media is so hard on them, nobody is talking much about us, except us!

I was in Wilkie in 84/85.  Don't come across many people who lived there.  Probably because we are all so successful and don't have time to post.

His best team, in my opinion, was the 75 team.

Had Scott may never broke his arm nobody beats that team. Hell ,they were good enough to win the ABA championship that year.

I know they were unbeaten until they played Kensucky in the tournament in the elite 8 and without May, they got beat for their 1st.  But I don’t recall them being as deep but I was 10 or 11

We have no one at 3 high profile sectional games and 1 whose team has been eliminated.  Now tonight the Great One is going to grace Greenfield-Central with his presence.  Does he even care what the optics look like?  His whole approach to recruiting has been so counter to his hiring statement of wanting a seat at the table.  Apparently what he was referring to was a seat at the local wine bar.

They had basically the entire 76, plus Steve Green - who was as good as scorer as May - at forward, and John Laskowski as 6th man off the bench (Super Sub).

I wore #31 when I played (not long) because of Laz. He could sub in at guard, forward, and even sometimes as center.
