Not a fan of Indy Star or Doyell but the headline is correct. X bonehead move and Gallo is like the dude off Space Jam that had his abilities taken from him.

Two gripes w/ Woodson: 1. More A**es need to meet bench for non-effort (blocking out) - Sparks came in and blocked out Omoruyi like a tutorial video. 2. Line change hockey subs in the B1G especially on the road needs to find its' way out of Woodson's repertoire.

To emphasize again: bench meets a**, a** sends signal to brain that this isn't fun, brain sends signal to body to increase effort - it's a winning formula for the brains of 5*, 4*, 3* and no stars. Accountability would be X not starting next game and running him until his balls hurt, what a poor representation of IU culture for our longest tenured player (outside Space Jam Gallo)

I agree with you in theory but unfortunately you can’t have both 1 and 2 happen because if Woody benches everyone that doesn’t block out the result will be hockey line substitutions.

I have not watched the video but to me, Kent Sterling has a punchable face. I'm not sure why I just don't like that guy. But I'm sure he is right in what he's saying

Everything was spot on until the last couple minutes when he said Purdue was going to beat the living sh*t out of Nebraska. lol

We got a letter in the mail and some swag. My wife made my son hold up some sign that said "I said yes to IU" or some crap like that. Which I told her not to post on social media

*^which she no doubt posted anyway^*

Apparently we have a letter and some swag coming! He can have the letter; I may keep the swag.

If he benched everyone that doesn't box out we wouldn't have 5 players on the floor.

the players have to show up with their big boy pants on too.

Well, to be fair to the players they showed up. Where they went, I don’t know.

Ten min into the game we were 18-11 with only Gunn having subbed in. Then Cupps, Walker, and Banks came in. Cupps would back cut for a layup to keep the lead at 7, but from there we would only score 7 points the last 9 min and 20 points over the next 25 min of game time (we scored some garbage time buckets in the last 4 min to cover up how bad we truly were).

I can’t say they didn’t come to play. But we completely turtled when the subs came in and Rutgers made their “run.”

She hasn't yet but I know it's coming.

The letter is important because I believe it has scholarship info, and the email didn't

I would also include the comment about stars not caring. It is obvious the MR cares. I would even venture to say that even MM has bought in, as is evident by his demeanor on the sidelines while he struggled to stay on the floor. He wasn't sulking, he was and still does cheer on his team. I don't know about KW, but could tell with his stone cold facial expressions. You can definitely see some frustration with him, when he shakes his head after a play, but I still can't get a good impression.

I've never seen a McDonalds all-american who has trouble handling the ball as much as I've seen with Mgbako,

I agree and think that is one of the reasons his quest to be a “one and done” is a pipe dream.

Nothing good happens when he leads us in transition. He either loses the ball or, if he makes it to the rim, he “eats” the ball.

I yell “no” when he receives a pass when running in transition because he never, ever handles those passes. Fumbles it, slips through his hands, is taken from him, bounces off his foot etc.

Every game he has his hands on multiple rebounds that are taken away from him.

All that being said…..
He has a sweet stroke, forget the stars and remember he is only half way through his freshman year and if he sticks around he could be a really good soph or junior (I’m probably dreaming in regards to him sticking around for three years).  Uwe Blap is a classic example of a guy that grew from being a guy that couldn’t catch a friggin bounce pass when he was a freshman to becoming All Big Ten and a NBA draftee his senior year. I know that was a million years ago (I still had dark hair) but does show that “hands” can change.

My dad use to say "hands of stone" when referring to Uwe.

Kent Sterling rant is exactly the way I feel and I think a lot us do.

He let Johnson have it, and it's warranted. Also falls on Woodsin for not holding him accountable so he never learns.

Frankly I'd start Leal over him next game and let him sit for a while. If he's going to have his head in his arse then his arse will be on the bench.

Yes the best thing about MM is he becoming a sophomore. His shot is pure that is for sure

Your dad was correct.
In the post, early in his career, he would constantly mis-handle perfectly thrown bounce passes. He also played very stiffly just as MM does.  Needless to say, based on being All BT and in the NBA, Uwe greatly improved.

To be fair.. he shouldn't have been asked to do/play as much as he is.

He is no different than Malik last year, he's just being asked to do.more.

We can't EVER say anything about Grayson Allen or Brad Davidson.

We have one of those on our team now.

Duke has Cooper Flagg coming in next year who will get about the same treatment as all the others have.

I disagree. He is a 5 star who wanted to go to Duke or Kansas and said his goal was to be 1 and done. That means you expect to be a starter and play a significant role on the team imo. He isn't playing at that level I agree

Christ-- he's been a college campus for like 9 months.. how much longer do they carry those make believe stars with them?

He pretty clearly isn't a "5 star" basketball player.
