Stupid question: Listening to Fisch on the radio, when there is a commercial break he says the red hat is on the field....is there actually a guy with a red hat that walks out on the field to indicate a commercial break?

A lot of open seats in that stadium. That wide camera angle is ugly.

Yes there is. He stays until the commercials are over to keep the game stopped

Fisch just said students are on Thanksgiving break. That explains a good chunk, at least for the first half.
