Great to see, but these are the final hours of his career. Not sure the "lambasting" up to this point wasn't somewhat warranted.

He definitely struggled early, but I've always been big on development -- he could shoot, instead -- who was coaching and who did he put on the floor / wing?  Bad lineup decisions, didn't develop the right guys, all was pretty obvious at the time.

I will concede that, while he looked completely uninspired under Archie, it's possible that Woody could have developed him into a plus player.

He's been much better under Sean Miller and had an excellent game today, but he's still only 11% from three on the season and he still fouls a lot (about five per 40 min).

I'm seeing more 3 point shooters get fouled this year than I can ever remember. I'm not sure if it's become a recent point of emphasis for officials, if defenders are just needlessly trying to block shots they can't block, or if shooters are just becoming better actors.

Archie had Justin Smith "on the wing." I mean, good God that was just flat out stupid

FWIW, it sounds like Smith would have transferred if he was playing the 4 at IU. That’s not a defense because that should not have been the deciding factor, but Smith seemed to embrace the 4 at Arkansas.  Probably speaks to the lack of trust that players had in Miller.

Funny how many lambasted Hunter. Great to see him showing up well, he always had it in him.

And I got called out for saying so -- Lol

IIRC, you liked him as a shooter. He's improved this year by pretty much abandoning that aspect of his game.

Yep that's what I remember, CAM cow-towed to him

I did -- but also as a scorer on the wing (which Smith most definitely never was).

Fwiw, in today's game, in which he led all scorers, he went 8-11, 8-8 FT's, with 5 boards, a block and a steal. He could have been developed at IU.
