Plus Geronimo and Woodson may have become close. People on the outside have no idea what is going on inside the locker room, though some claim they do. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

Yogi, Zeisloft, Rob, Max... That 15-16 team was built for Crean. Same with the 12-13 team. But even the 11-12 team had 3 snipers in Hulls, Watford and Roth. The 11-12 and 12-13 team also had Remy Abell -- he wasn't a volume shooter, but he was a solid shooter. And then in 12-13, Oladipo became a shooter. Loaded Chicken Sandwich 1 Quote

The starters look tired, Bates and Geronimo are playing terrible so Banks is next. Most popular guys are guys who aren't playing. We need shooting (again) and improvement on the wing, and I expect we’ll see some in a transfer, but if JHS comes back I’d look forward to a Malik-JG front ct with Banks and Gunn pushing minutes. Give me toughness, boards and athleticism up front. Quote

He has flirted with leaving the last two years and now his minutes has dwindled even more I don't see him coming back. I think him and Tamar will look to transferbut I hope I am wrong Quote

Hasn’t shown well since injury return but still a lot of games to play, and he’s a starter next season. No one here knows what his mindset is, but he isn’t hanging his head on the bench he’s engaged. As awful as he has been he is still playing a ton of minutes and loves it here. Now why CMW continues to give him a lot of minutes is my question. He has one skill (scoring) and he’s not doing that. He shouldn’t be on the court. 94Bulldog and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

He’s been a pretty bad defender in almost every scenario he has played…especially in the big10. He’s consistently lost and out of position. Woody gave him a run against a Purdue and he gave up 2 baskets and missed a dunk/layup in a very short stretch. Also, was in for the horrible stretch against Illinois Saturday. He’s just not there as a big10 caliber player right now and his lack of minutes reflect that. His plus/minus is one of the worst on the team. He is shooting 40% in conference play and most shots are inside 5 feet. I guess I’m watching a different game than most others besides the coaches. Banks has been really good in his limited minutes. He came in and immediately contested a couple shots and forced a charge. He has a knack for being around the ball and making plays. He has shown he can shoot and drive to the bucket. He is a better basketball player than Geronimo right now and should be getting minutes. I think the reason he isn’t is because CMW is maybe a little stubborn in how much he value he places on upperclassmen even if they aren’t playing well (see Bates). He deserves minutes based on his play and I hope the second half indicates maybe he will. Gunn had a chance earlier this year and didn’t really impress but Banks has. Quote

Lord help us if he becomes a starter, he can’t even produce consistently in the role he is in, which leads me to believe he has never accepted his role Quote

His shooting and judgment in general is pretty inconsistent and he would likely struggle initially as a professional.. But the NBA drafts on potential and he clearly has NBA potential. Quote
