I do feel good about the game tonight. I bet most of you in the Eastern Time Zone are pleased with the start time! Gotta hope the team comes out ready to go. To me, this game is just as important as the Purdue game, it just won't have all the bells and whistles. Rutgers is a very good B1G team. I don't think they are built for March success as they won't get away with how they play in the tournament, but they're going to be tough. It does help that one of their starting bigs is out.

I would be ecstatic with a 6:30 ET start time for all our weekday games.

Very conducive for those of us who try going to bed by 9:30.

We have a weird fascination with people's body types and appearances. Odd

@Chris007 go for a walk around campus, it'll pass the time!

I took a short one but should have made a longer trip. Feels like someone off the bench is going to have a good game to get us over the hump tonight

The hill on 17th or north North Jordan were always good to expend a little energy and the scenery was nice (maybe not as great this time of year).

Who you got?

Yes I like to do one big loop that includes Eagleson (Used to be Jordan) to 17th to Dunn, to 10th, and back to Union.

I'm not very good at picking people but I'll go with Reneau. But could be Banks or Bates. Just hope someone steps up. Will be interesting to see if Geronimo plays. I've been told that Xavier has been telling the coaches he's good to go but after watching him workout and talking to doctors their not ready to release him yet.

Per Bart Torvik

In Big Ten games, Rutgers allows 14.3 more points per 100 possessions when Mawot Mag is off the court

Three-point shooting percentage (+9.4%)

Mid-range two-point percentage (+6.6)

Offensive rebounding percentage (+9.3%)

In B1G play, Mag ranks fourth in the Big Ten in both defensive rating and defensive box plus-minus

That's a nice walk. Completely forgot they were changing the names.
I'd really like to see Reneau keep attacking when he's in. We need to control the boards and the ball in this one. I guess Bates could contribute by not turning it over and hitting a couple of outside shots to pull Rutger away from the lane.

Announcers during the PU game said Geronimo could play and might. Don't know if that's accurate, but it's what they said, and if so, would think he'd play tonight.

Rabby said he was available to play, but Woodson the night before the game questioned if JG was going to see minutes

FWIW, after Mag went down against Michigan State, Rutgers didn't play anyone off the bench much more than usual, they just upped the other four starter's minutes.  I would assume Aundre Hyatt would take Mag's spot in the starting lineup.  Statistically, offensively Mag is a better interior player while Hyatt hangs around the perimeter more but there isn't much difference in terms of scoring (Hyatt actually scores a little more but Mag has been the better rebounder).  More than anything, it's more about the loss of a player in their depth.  They've been using 7 guys playing 18+ minutes per game but then it drops down to 8 mpg.  Antwone Woolfolk was the 8th man before and he has pretty big issues with fouling.

If there’s a chance he could reinjure it I hope they keep him out until he’s 100%. At this point getting everyone healthy and back in game shape by tourney time seems doable.
