I am pretty confident he has told staff IU was his choice but pending Ware going pro. There was reason things got crazy for 24 hours in Dec.  He is waiting to be sure that happens.  Smart.

Now, the fire around program doesn’t help but Maryland sucks even more.  No, don’t see Houston.

We will see. No, this isn’t some official insider, acting on sources etc. pay it no attention.

Tea leaves on Instagram? You love looking at teenagers instagrams right?

Maybe what Fish said will get back to Woody and sink in?

I would hope so but I have my doubts he cares what others think. I just don't know why coaches aren't willing to make changes when things are definitely not working

Man, you never stop. My god!

I told you I don’t want to converse with you. You are not even 1% rational. it is pointless.

only reason I am responding is this is now the 4th  reply in 30 min, stating the same thing. Stop mudding up the board with this.

Somehow your are saying I equated Bates with leaving over fans. Never said or implied that. I know you are the smartest guy here but reading may not be your strong point.

I’ve asked you four times why Bates left and all you do is bring up the toxicity of the fan base.

He clearly doesn't care he made up his mind he did it and he is guilty as charged in his eyes. He hates beard and nobody is changing his mind. He probably had the Duke lacrosse guys guilty from day one as well. To heck with due process .

Yeah because I actually read the case? For the record I was all in on beard at one time because he can coach but people who I know in Texas Tech were telling me about red flags.  Then when you look at the case report a lot lined up. Again I'm all for trying to get an edge because of the corrupt  NCAA but there are limits. Sheesh not even while I was with Duke and UNC athletics did they ponder hiring someone like this.  It seems there seems to be a lot of men in this board who really don't understand how the legal system is unfavorable to women or men who suffer abuse.

Let's say a guy in Colorado was arrested and sent to prison for selling Marijuana. It is his 2nd offense so the send him to prison. Today Marijuana is legal so should that guys record be cleared. Should he automatically get let out because it is legal now.

No, he still has the record but should be let out of prison.

I’m not saying that but in the end it’s a moot point.  I still think we gave ourselves the death penalty on a misdemeanor, IMO.  Yes he lied but we all have on occasion.  No officer, I wasn’t driving over the speed limit.  No officer, I only had 2 beers.

Honestly, I think this conversation has gotten derailed.

I still like Beard, but I see your point.  I don’t like men who beat women, but was it ever proven.  Terrance Shannon got reinstated and his alleged offense is worse, but he’s still playing.  Innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.  The just parted ways with Beard because they didn’t want to deal with any publicity

Because I don't  like men who beat their girlfriends. If he was innocent then UT wouldn't have gotten rid of him that fast

Texas is undoubtedly regretting firing Beard, especially since they fired him before the charges were dropped. The new guy they promoted full time will be gone in two years. But now that Texas has a relevant football team for the first time in 20 years I’m not sure it matters either way.

Texas did the right thing. I feel sorry for fans who are willing to look over things just to win ball games. There are way more important things for coaches to do to represent your University

You don’t know me or have any clue what my morals are. But should you know, my morals have nothing to do with recognizing Beard as an elite basketball coach.

Also I don't think u guys understand how stuff works.  We typically hire are own investigators to look at the matter (saves us from liability from the future and to protect the brand). The NBA is very good at this as well.  UT firing Beard was definitely done with just cause. Otherwise they would have been sued by Beard.

Never said he wasn't a great coach but he is a scumbag as a person. To me there are more important things than just winning ball games for a coach who represents my team.

Texas hired a known alcoholic and swinger in Steve Sarkisian. You’re giving them way too much credit Scott, but you knew that already.

If it is about making the tournament why is there a topic about firing Woodson since he has went to the tournament in both of his seasons here.

Because EVERY fanbase with any expectations want their coach fired when they rank 100 and don’t see any improvements.

I’ve stated before his successes so far will keep him from actually being fired. It’s just the typical HOT seat stuff.

Nil partly eliminates the “rebuilding year” mantra.

You are building a team each year and the expectations are to make the tournament at minimum. Ideally, we want to be top 15-20 good each year.

Woodys first year was going to be a miss until Michigan halftime. Last year we underperformed expectations and TJD carried.

Bad signs are afoot if you watch basketball.

The case is closed and the door is shut from any potential legal fallout. He’ll be hired in March by some program who wants to win at a high level. I’ll assure you of that.

Not to pile on, but hypothetically if we hired Beard, what would you do? Stop being a fan?

He’d root for him the same way he rooted for Bobby Knight. You can’t reason with the holier than thou crowd on an anonymous message board.

Good, I like my unversity to actually care about the female student body.  Somethings are more important than sports.  I kind of actually kind of feel sorry for you for not getting it.
