Bob Knight was convicted of assault on a law enforcement officer in a Puerto Rico court and was sentenced to 6 months in jail and faced extradition until the PR governor dropped it due to the costs and logistics. Let me guess, you’re not an All Lives Matter guy?

It would be the closest thing that would cause me to stop watching IU basketball.  Right now with NIL and the portal I have lost some of my interest in college sports in General. It would be a hard choice because I have loved IU basketball and what it has represented for over 50 years.

IU employed a coach for nearly 20 years after being convicted of assault on an LEO. Let me guess, you stopped watching IU in the 80s and 90s or do you just pick and choose which type of assault to be outraged at?

No I hate the BLM movement because they took a lot people's money and basically gave it to themselves.  I'm an independent and hate both parties because they frankly don't care about people.  You're referencing bob Knight. Just because they did it back then doesn't mean it's acceptable now.

Personally I would take Sampson over Beard because I’ve heard Beard is a real piece of work. Obviously given his media attention but he’s got a reputation around basketball circles.

Also heard he has a major drinking problem that gets him into trouble. Someone posted that he gave up beer last year but decided to start back drinking beer. Not the best thing to do if you have a drinking problem.

“Heard he has a major drinking problem”, lol from who? Has drinking ever impacted his performance on the sideline or ability to construct a competent basketball roster in the offseason?

Again I am not even talking about the product on the court because that isn't the most important thing with a coach that represents your University. I know you are a win at any cost fan and that embarrasses this older IU fan. This fan base use to look down at those kinds of fans(UK) but now we have those kinds of fans

College athletics is a multi-billion dollar, results driven industry. Winning is 1000% the most important thing. Anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves.

Making an image hire has never turned out successful in the long run. And Texas doesn’t care about basketball especially now that their football team is rolling. And Beard’s been cleared of all charges so it’s a completely different process.
