Respectfully disagree. MK and PS stand around the perimeter on offense so stripes have nothing to call. Iowa hunts threes and neither MK/PS can stay with their man around screens, so refs make no difference on that end either. They are a net negative to this team right now

Beyond the rebounds and that one low block from Kopp I can’t think of what they did well. Kopp overhelped a few times for an open 3

Also—seems like refs love Phin. No matter how much he pressures they don’t whistle him.

He’s very balanced, doesn’t lunge, is almost always under control in his stance, and has a knack for timing crossovers. Phenomenal defender.

He’s smart, veteran , and well coached . When he was guarding Toussaint he doubled off constantly. When he guarded Bohannon he ball hawked.

Phin plays really smart D, and the camera on him when he got that steal from B was good - you could see how locked in on the ball his eyes are, he was up on B with eyes locked in at all times, got him on the bounce - seriously good D

I was thinking the same thing. He had a couple of good no-calls that would have 110% been foul calls against X.

IF....we win the BTT this year, I keep wondering if TJD might think about coming back for Sr year to try to win the whole thing !

(I know, it's far reaching, but why the hell not?)

They just need to hit shots.  They keep the floor spaced and provide room for tjd and xj to operate.

Won’t happen.

But IF we start X/RP/TG/Race/TJD to start the second half > we build a 10-12 point lead by the under 16 TO.

If we start our starting five > IU will be down 2-3 pts at the first TO.

I must be seeing this game differently from everyone else. Kopp and Stewart aren’t making shots, but they can and Iowa is actually playing them which is creating space for Johnson and Trayce. Galloway is killing them offensively. Fran’s barely playing him. They go under every ball screen on him. They’re doubling off of him. They’re clogging off of him.  He passed on 2 open 3’s and missed 2. His presence is shrinking the floor. He’s gotta play, so you gotta figure something out.
