Two years of momentum killed in two months. Will be shocked if we don’t have a lot of recruits change their minds. Allen has his work cut out for him. ‘LEO’ doesn’t have the same ring to it when you’re a lousy team.

I think we can all agree that no matter who the coach of IU football is, they will always have their work cut out for them.

With that mentality, sure. We brought back most of our starters from a 6-2 team and we’re on the verge of our worst season in a decade. Not what you want to see from a guy IU just sunk tons of money into.

I don’t remember much of you last year when IU went 6-2. Or the year before after you posted about Allen needed firing and then IU won 8 games.

You have been pretty vocal this year though. Interesting

I posted plenty the past two years. Must be amnesia. I could use some myself to forget this miserable season. Some people love Allen and will ride hard for him. I’m not one of those people. I’ve given him credit in the past, but he deserves nothing but criticism for this season. Sorry if I’m not cheery enough about our 0-5, last place conference record.

Just checking. Would really hope you would want IU to succeed under Allen more than you need to feel right

I don’t care about being right, I just want to win. When it looked like Allen was going to make us a winner I was happy even though I don’t really like his personality.

Last year was a lot of fun, and so was 2019. But looking back on those seasons, I do think we overrated where we stood as a program. We won 8 games in 2019 against teams with a combined 25-71 record. We didn’t beat a team with a winning record. Last year, 5 of our 6 wins were against teams with losing records. The traditional conference powerhouses had down years. This year the conference is a lot stronger and we’re at the very bottom after expecting to take the next step.

It’s just very frustrating for me. I started watching IU football in 2013 when I was a freshman. I completely understand that IU has traditionally been very bad, but since I’ve been watching we’ve won less than 5 games just one time. We’ve made a bowl game half the time. We’ve been waiting to ‘break through’ for years, it looked like we finally did, and now we’re where we are today.

I had to look it up to make sure but we returned 19 starters. 10 returners on defense and we could very well be the worst team in the conference. Something doesn’t add up….

Well our two starting CB's had missed the last 3 games. One of the was an AA so that is a huge hole to fill

Agree but we’ve been told during the whole Allen tenure that he was building depth on the roster. Doesn’t seem to be the case when a starter goes down there is still a big drop off.

Well for most of my 51 years on earth IU fans were praying for a team at IU to win 8 games.  I think I'm the history of IU there had been one season with over 8 wins.  Either you have forgotten the history of IU football or two young to live through all the misery that has been IU football.  To want to fire a coach who has two of the best seasons in our history bus so short sided.

What kind of coach do you think we could get of wr replaced Allan after the year.  He was the national coach of the year and you fire him after a bad year then no quality coach would give you the time of the day.  May we can get Jerry Dinardo to come out of retirement.

I don't think Allen should be fired but he needs to put solid coaches around him. Always looking for the next up and coming is going to put iu in the situation it is in. Need to find OC and DC that are experienced.

Where did anyone say Allen needs to be fired after this year? He won’t be and shouldn’t be but how could anyone not be questioning him at this point? I mean this year is the absolute definition of underperformance…it’s actually pretty remarkable at this point.

I said before that Allen at least deserves next year to turn things around. The “who would come here if we fired X” is the same thing people said about Archie this past spring. We fired Tom Crean the year after he won an outright Big 10 title and made the sweet 16. LSU just fired a guy who won a national championship less than two years ago

Respectfully, I don’t care about how bad the program was 30-40 years ago when neither I nor any of our players were alive. We’ve been a respectable middle of the pack program for most of the past decade. That’s much more relevant than where the program was decade ago. We’ll, until this year. This is Allen’s 5th year at IU. He’s made two bowl games and he’s 15-24 in conference play. He won’t get fired after this year, and he won’t get fired after next year either because his buyout is too big. But another bad season next year and I won’t be such the minority.

Same lol. My most vivid memories of football go back to the early 2000s. I remember Courtney Roby and Kyle Killion. I remember the big Oregon win. 4-5 wins really was an expectation and just praying for a bowl game. This is definitely one of the worst seasons in a long time. This is getting into Kevin Wilson beginning area.

I first remember having to listen to the majority of the games because most of the games weren't on tv. One of the first ones I can remember was in the 70's at home against Nebraska and we lost by around 50
