The varsity boys basketball team continued their dominance over the Wayne Warriors with a 48-43 road win, marking their 7th consecutive victory against the Warriors. With this victory, the Elks finished the GWOC regular season with a perfect 14-0 record in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC), capturing the GWOC title for the 5th straight year.  Leading the charge for the Elks was senior Gabe Cupps with 20 points.

79-45 win over Belmont.  20p,  6r,  8a,  3s,  0b,  4t.     9-12 FG,  2-3 on 3s,  0-1 FT.  Play Sidney on the 24th in SW District Semifinal.

Cupps scored Centerville’s 1st 10 or 12 points in a game that was over in the first qtr. Was really aggressive looking for his own offense. Not usually his style.

Earlier today Centerville won its 5th consecutive District Championship 63-39 over Anderson and will play the winner of Elder/Fairmont on Wednesday.  Haven't seen individual player stats yet.

This link is a good background story on Gabe.

Watching it right now before Bidunga’s game starts and I don’t know what his line will be, but this might be the best I’ve seen Cupps. He is totaling locked in and in complete control of this game. Could have had 10 assists in the first half if they were making shots. Anderson isn’t very good, but Cupps is making right decision after right decision. Textbook orchestrating.

How are you watching it and what's your link for Bidunga?

It’s fairly long, but if you’ve got a few minutes this is a really nice read.

Walsh said he's kind of a combination of Jordan Hulls and Aaron Craft.  Hulls was more of a shooter but both are all about the win.  Hopefully Cupps is the kind of player that hates losing more than he likes winning, that's something we need bad.
