I posted this earlier, but I think some people don’t feel like his resume is long enough and that his F4 run was more of a fluke.  Also, someone mentioned he didnt love the way Woodson was treated last weekend vs UM.  Finally - his family is still close and like the fact he’s a bit further away - just to avoid the potential risk if it doesn’t end up well in Bloomington. 
 

with that said, given his buyout, I still think he’s plan B.  He knew iu would be in this situation this offseason.  And Dolson approached him last offseason.  Others have mentioned his buyout is low due to UM not knowing how he’d pan out (which I could see too).  
 

we’ll see I suppose.  If he signs the contract raise soon with UM, then probably means Dolson has Stevens locked down!!?!? Right???!?

With 6 games to go in the season plus two tournaments, I'd think that Dusty is focused on the team and not any new contract with us or Michigan... pretty sure anybody is talking to his agent at this point... and his agent can play the stall game if he's worth his cut.

Like I said, scared. Scott didn’t want to ruffle any feathers, so he brought Woodson back for year four. The yes man did what they put him in the role to do, and the guy we could’ve gotten is now sitting alone in first place 70% of the way through the conference season.

Think about it this way. In year 1 at a football school he is closing in on winning the Big Ten when he had 0 expectations this year. He has already laid a foundation for success. He is contemplating leaving after winning a Big Ten title and coming home to a blender of a situation where he is now the most scrutinized employee in the state of Indiana with a fan base starving for success. If it doesnt work out immediately people will be calling for his head in no time.
