I doubt you find anything better than well-sourced estimates until the fiscal year rolls over.

Per CBS Sports-

Michigan freshman guard Justin Pippen has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on its opening spring entry period, Travis Branham of 247Sports reported on Monday morning.

Pippen has already left the team and will not travel with them to Atlanta as well, Branham reported.

The Chatsworth (CA) native is the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen and was heralded as an excellent late add to the 2024 recruiting class by Dusty May after his hiring. Pippen saw ample time on the floor throughout the season before a concussion landed him on the bench in the Big Ten Tournament. He was unable to play in either of the Wolverines' first two games of the NCAA Tournament.

Interesting.  Thanks, I hadn’t seen our IUBB rev share number yet.

Per the IndyStar, IU was targeting IUBB rev share to be about 2x the conference average.  I would have guessed the IUBB number would be higher than $3.5M, because that obviously implies the conf average to bball is something around $1.75M (~8% of the rev share).  That’s pretty low, especially with the settlement to former players allocating 15% to men’s bball. 

From what I can tell this is good, the less rev share other schools are doing for bball the better because IU’s payroll advantage is on the NIL side and schools can dilute that if they got aggressive with bball rev share.  I’d guess schools are generally leaning into FB, which as we know is the only sport that really moves the needle.

Don't believe there's actually anything of an official nature out there.  As @Hovadipo said probably won't be until the new fiscal year rolls over.   The numbers for IUBB have to be considered as unofficial and reasonable estimates at this time.

Wild what has happened to college sport.  I'm at least glad we can compete on a level ground.  Louisville boasting 10 mil this year too.  gotta be around a top5-10 mark i'd think.  BYU, Kansas, Duke way up there too.

Why is the portal open right now? I understand the “need” for it to be open during the CFB playoff because of academic calendars, but that’s not the case for CBB. There seems to be no good reason why the portal is open during the NCAA Tournament.

Maybe there’s a good reason but the cynic in me thinks it’s good because it keeps fan bases who don’t have teams still in the tourney engaged with college basketball.

Notre Dame guard JR Konieczny has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, @JamieShaw5 reports.   Nothing to get overly excited about him.

What maybe makes this announcement mildly intriguing is the fact he has a brother '25 Chase Konieczny who I don't think has made a commitment and has a pretty good high school career stat line.  He is just a 3-star and not an overly impressive offer list although DePaul, Minnesota and Iowa have offered.  37% 4-year career 3-point shooter.
