UNC is working Baylor in all areas of the floor. Impressive.

Their offense looks great with spacing and movement leading to WIDE OPEN looks from deep and cleaning up the glass. Impressive

Sometimes it’s just not your day.  This even happens to programs with as strong as culture as Baylor has had over the last few years.   North Carolina winning at Duke opened up some hidden confidence in this team.   Trying to predict college basketball from game to game is a lost cause.  Just Sit back and enjoy.

North Carolina had been blown out by 20 or more points 4 or 5 times this year and lost at home to Pittsburgh

Joe Bamilisile of George Washington.  6'4" shooting guard, averaged 16.3 ppg and 5 rebounds.  Multi level scorer, shot 36% from three on over 5 1/2 threes per game.

Never heard of of him but sounds intriguing

no interested reported but a big that’s skilled

If you believe Twitter, IU is probably one of the few top 50 programs in the country that hasn’t contacted him.

Hard to imagine - I hope it means TJD is coming back but to not even kick the tires with a conference player of the year big seems odd

Was originally at Virginia Tech. He was their top recruit in 2020, 98th overall and a 4 star on 247.  Played sparingly there during the Covid year — 13 games, 9 minutes per game, 3.5 ppg.  VaTech had pretty much everyone coming back for 2021-2 and he transferred to GW.  Was tight with the coach at GW but he was fired at the end of the season.

Jerry Meyer described him coming out of high school as a three level scorer and good all around player who rebounds well for a wing.

Sam Griesel (North Dakota State) enters the portal.  I saw him play against South Dakota State in the Summit championship and he was really impressive that game.  He's not great at any one aspect but is very good at a lot of things.

6'6" wing, 220 pound wing, averaged 14.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists this year.  Shot 48%/38%/76%.  One year of eligibilty left.

FWIW, he's already heard from Ohio State, Loyola (Ill), Creighton, Northwestern, Nebraska, Stanford, Penn State, and Colorado State among others.

Griesel committed to Nebraska today.  Good get for them.

For sure, it will be interesting to watch the annual roster purge in Lincoln.  Most analysts are expecting the younger McGowens to turn pro.

FWIW, Griesel grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska.  I believe he wanted to play for the Huskerd but wasn’t given an offer out of high school.
