I would say that the downside for any portal recruit that looks good will be the system that we are putting him into.

D!ck Bennett, but yea, he didn’t quite have the political capital to force his guy into the spot. The flip side is that Bo Ryan did but  he also left Gard with a loaded team.  
 

The immediate downside to Diebler getting the job is less Ohio State kids probably jump into the portal.

Final talks are/might be going on today. Portal doesn’t open until till tomorrow “technically”. So I’d say tomorrow you’d start hearing more and more news.

We’ve already talked about Carlyle a little bit. I’ll be pretty surprised if IU isn’t in here.

If we are going to be all in on the portal, I think I want us to take the Cignetti approach. Get productive guys from lower levels rather than disgruntled guys or guys that didn’t play much for P5s.

Woodson is the opposite of Cignetti, though. He only cares about recruit rankings and can't win without superior talent.

Arkansas Pine-Bluff 6'4" guard Kylen Milton.  One year of eligibility left.  Averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists.  Shot 51/35/74.  Made a big jump this past year, had previously never shot above 40% from the field for a season.
