Hillsdale87 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I feel bad for Archie in a way. Sure he should lose his job but eventually players have to score. These missed layups and FTs are pitiful. Then again, it’s been this way all season and that ultimately is on the coachSent from my iPhone using BtownBannersI feel the same. Yes, he bears some fault, but at a certain point the players have to have some pride and get the job done. We shot 9-59 from 3 the last 3 games of the season, and many of those were good looks. Players have to put in the work to do their jobs well too, and it doesn't seem like they haveSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk BGleas 1 Quote

Archie Miller points to IU's frontcourt depth, or lack there of, as a reason why the Hoosiers have been so inconsistent. Could you please clarify. Did Archie say the above after his first season at IU or after his second season at IU or after his third season at IU or was it after his fourth season at IU? Those statements could have been made after every one of his seasons. If he is around for a fifth season I’ll take a wild guess and predict he will say the same things after year 5. KzooHoosier82 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 What’s incredibly sad to me is that I really thought we had more talent coming in than going out after last season. As much as I can’t stand Archie ball, you can’t shoot free throws and layups for them. That said, he has to be doing something very wrong development wise. These kids are all worse shooters than expected. Quote

If he is eligible for a 5th year somewhere else it will be interesting to see if he ends up at another school (would guess that Smiths move to Arkansas, and being a projected 3 seed this year, could influence him to try a change of scenery). Whatever he does, wish him the best. Quote
