RaceToTheTop Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 If football is played in the spring, with the number of top players who opt out, Penix could be the best qb in the ncaa. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Pac 12 expected to follow suit later today. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 First time in the history of Indiana football where the fan base isn't happy to still be playing after January 1st. :) mdn82 and Stuhoo 2 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I honestly doubt we see spring sports tbh. Unless people start distancing and using masks NOLA Hoosier 1 Quote
mdn82 Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 It’s sucks, but can’t say I am surprised. I am just disappointed that it is ok for 40,000 people to be on campus, but not ok for 150 or so people with players and staff in a semi controlled environment. taco corp, Class of '66 Old Fart, IUc2016 and 1 other 4 Quote

With the possible heart issues this is causing they just don't want the liability, nothing to do with the health of players. Quote
mdn82 Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Well I am guessing if they start going by calendar year that’s going to mean no basketball before January. ****! IUc2016 1 Quote
Magnanimous Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Better hope we see the SEC and ACC follow suit sooner rather than later, otherwise Allen can kiss his Tampa pipeline goodbye. Quote

Basketball conferences should just start working on plans for bubbles. Then maybe a 16 team Tourney bubble. Would only have to maintain it for 11 days Quote
HoosierDYT Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Sad decision. Hopefully players are allowed to transfer without sitting out. Would be crazy to see some OSU players in the SECSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

I just don’t see them putting that level of money into this with how much they are losing out on. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Probably being too simplistic here, but I always hated Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland in the Big Ten. I think now is the perfect opportunity to give Nebraska the boot. It is, and always has been, a much, much better fit in the Big 8/Big 12. NOLA Hoosier 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I wanted to get excited about our basketball team's improved tourney chances with the Pac-12 cancelling, then I remembered the Pac-12 typically only sends 2-3 teams to the tournament. Quote

Enough housing, food courts. A few gyms and most importantly a basketball court mdn82 and HoosierDYT 2 Quote
IUc2016 Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Watched the majority of Kevin Warren’s press conference with BTN. Gotta say I was really disappointed. He dodged all of the questions and used boilerplate language “it’s about the players safety and always has been” over and over. Certainly disagree with the decision, but his answers have me even more disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners jk34 and HoosierDYT 2 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I'm going to ask this again, would people be this upset if all Fall Sports but football was canceled? It shouldn't matter if it is a "cash cow". If one goes they all go.They canceled the other cash cow in March and it looks like they will with at least the non conference portion of the season. I don't/didn't like it then or now. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk Quote
