 If this team can find a third dependable scorer they'll fair well. Someone needs to step up and be an outside threat . I think the options are Valentina or Mia.

B1G news.  Oregon announces that Elisa Mevius will miss the 2025-26 season due to a knee injury. She was off to a great start this season for the Ducks, averaging 12.5 PPG.

Minnesota WBB junior forward Taylor Woodson is out for the season after sustaining a knee injury in their game against Manhattan on Friday.

Been lots of season ending knee injuries reported across the country in women's bball.

They will very likely match the rankings. You already see it with Caffey and Makalusky being higher ranked than previous recruits and two of next years are even higher. 

Those rankings are not perfect but very good guides similar to a weather forecast and with two top-40 players this year and two top-30 next year the difference will be noticeable. 

This is how it is supposed to work with recruiting when winning and it took Moren coming to terms that her culture was not an end-all be-all for recruiting and NIL is needed and also replacing an ineffective assistant with effective one. Most coaches when they start winning don't have to look in mirror at how they run things.

Moren did and glad she made the necessary changes or this program was heading off a cliff. Now it's in good hands again.

Yes, excellent addition of players and coaches in IU Ladies basketball program.  
I agree class rankings are similar to a misleading weather forecast.  

For one thing some of the classes in top elite programs who may have only one or two recruits listed because their respective programs are already loaded are ranked behind IU Ladies class.  Plus a few programs are still in play for the few top players remaining.  

However, things are better along with probably 15 to 20 other major programs in major conferences.  Overall, things are tougher than what they were just a few years ago.

And the roster gets smaller.  Surely there's more to this than just losing her role as a starter.

“Indiana women’s basketball sophomore guard Valentyna Kadlecova informed the program she will return home to the Czech Republic to play professional basketball. This was a decision Valentyna made with careful consideration, and we wish her the best in her next chapter.“

If anyone thought Kadlecova was in the future plans, they were sorely mistaken. Maya has already been better than Kadlecova ever was since moving into lineup.

Wonder if losing her playing time to Maya caused her to be a locker room problem (just speculating and have no inside info) and Moren wanted it rooted out very quickly after last yr. The fact that she is going to play 'professional basketball' tells me she probably thought she was better than she is and deserved more playing time and told Moren to 'play her more or I want off team' if I read between lines.

Totally speculating though.

It looks like she scrubbed her Insta of her IU pictures in her account.  I understand getting rid of an ex from it, but a school you played at for over a year?

The bolded part is completely spot on. She's just not very good at basketball; slow and unaggressive will never do the job. So bah-bye!

Was she recruited by the recruiting coordinator that we had to replace? Good riddance if so.

Things are working out for M&M.  She was going to be a starter eventually this year all along.  T. Moren was making her earn it (challenging her…kinda B.K. tatic) and giving her time to get there.  High character (probably a bit immature as she stated she thought she had grit but learning in that area).  Though a freshman M&M should be more confident as more playing time is pretty much hers as another IU 6’3” high level Lady is much needed along side of Noyan and Z;  especially when Z comes back…the ??? with Z will she sustain a healthy season throughout this season and the future (which she has yet to do).

Why not affiliations?  We partner up with a MAC school for example and we can exchange players throughout the season based on how individual players are performing or injured.
