If you are a 10 seed, you are pretty much guaranteed to play 7 and then 2.  The current 2's are Baylor, Kentucky, Purdue and Duke.  Certainly not saying IU would be favored in any of those matchups by a long shot, but I'd take my chances against Duke rather than Baylor, Kentucky, or Purdue.

We would get pummeled by all of those teams in the tourney.

10 seeds dont perform well against 2 seeds(from what I remember off the top of my head.

10 seeds are 2-11 in the last 10 tournaments against 2 seeds. (7 seeds are 9-13)

Should be 40  games between them if it’s the last 10 years.   In some of those instances a 15 seed beat a 2 to move on but with 4 games a year and 10 tournaments there should be more games then 2-11 and 9-13

Well that's 35 games. 15 seeds have beaten 2's 5 times the last 10 tourneys.

22-40 all time.  It’s not like a 10 beating a 2 is winning the lottery.

From 3 Weeks till now, IU went from a 93% chance making the tournament to now 53% today (will be updated tomorrow) which ranks 3rd in the biggest drops (-40% decrease) behind Oklahoma and BYU. According to TR

Well that's what happens when you go on a 4-game losing streak and including a game we should've won, but for multiple suspensions, at NWU. It's going to look dicey until we start winning again. Hope that happens tonight, but regardless need to win another 3 -- I think we will, and then we'll be in better (but not certain) shape, with the B1G tourney starting.

It’s that time of year where I start messing around on this website almost daily. A really helpful resource for B1G tournament planning.

Seems nearly impossible for us to stay out of that #8/#9 game, huh? I don't think we can jump 2 teams and MSU/Iowa/Michigan all have tiebreakers over us. I suppose we could fall to 10th but that probably ends the tourney conversation anyway.

If we win out and everything goes chalk according to the standard picks on there, we get the 5th seed!

So if we win 3 of the next 4 (i think we will), what do our tournament chances look like? Do we necessarily have to win at least 1 in the BTT?

Not a bracketologist but if you win the next three, lost @ PU, you’re close. Think if you win the 8/9 BTT game you can sleep easily. If not you have to sweat bid thief tourney champs, and/or other bubble teams making a run.

This would be 20-12 (10-10), 2-1 on neutral courts, 3 road wins, wins over PU, OSU, ND, Rutgers, plus probably another of the middle class of the league (e.g. Iowa/MSU/UM in BTT). Probably enough.
