That would be fun

For me it wouldn’t. lol.      My wife and I will be back in Dayton for the first 4 games this year.   Getting back to our tradition that got cut off 2 years ago.    I love going to those games because I have no dog in the fight I can just take in the atmosphere and good game experience.  If IU is there then there goes my relaxed mood.  I would rather them be safely in and not have to worry about it.    Of course if it’s the only way for them to make it then I guess I can suck it up and deal with it.

Not really any games of importance tonight.....maybe St. Louis at Richmond but they are pretty far down they out list.

Iowa at Nebraska and San Jose State at San Diego State, but unless there are big upsets (especailly San Jose State over SD State), they aren't big items.

Northwestern/Penn St have an important game for B1G standings.   If Nebraska finds a way to beat Iowa do they move up enough to make the IU’s home game against them a Q3 game instead of Q4.   Might not sound like much of a difference but getting an extra Q3 win might be big.  You want a winning record against the top 3 quads and right now IU doesn’t

All 4 have flaws and that’s why all 4 are on the bubble and can’t complain if they get left out.
Memphis has 4 losses to 100 + teams including Georgia so maybe automatic exclusion.

SMU has 3 100+ losses including Loyola Marymount neutral that is a Q4.   Both Memphis and SMU best win would be against a Houston team with 0 Q 1 wins and down their 2 best players the rest of the Year

IU-we have been over a ton    Terrible non con SOS and losing record against the top 3 quads
2 high end wins and all their losses are Q2a or better

BYU- loss to Pacific is horrible and haven’t been the same team since their 2 big men went down    Not the same team that built up a pretty good resume

USPS (or anyone else), what are your thoughts on Michigan St?  It seems they should be closer to the bubble. Almost everything I’m seeing has them safely in.

They are safely in despite this losing streak they are on.   Big time non conference wins are giving them some cushion.   Neutral wins over Uconn(16) and Loyola (27).    Road win at Wisky (21) 8 wins away from home

Strong SOS (19) and non con sos(24).  They could probably lose out and still be in the tourney.

For those from Dayton or who live around there I’m looking for recommendations for places to eat when we are in town for the first 4.   Last time some posters on here recommended some really good places.  Thanks in advance

Just gave blood and got a chance on 1st four tickets.  Daughter will get them if I win because I'm headed to Ft. Myers Beach for a couple of weeks.

There are many choices south, east, north, and downtown Dayton to eat.  I would park near the Oregon District on 5th and bar hop...and check menus:   Salar (Peruvian) $$$; Franco's (Italian) $$+; Oregon Express (Pizza, Burger); Dublin Pub; Toxic Brewery (no food); check Tripadvisor or Yelp.   Coco's $$; Jay's Seafood $$$; Oakwood Club $$$$. Daughter really likes Old Scratch Pizza.   If in town for one night...I would start at one end of the Oregon District, and end up at Toxic...and call Uber.  They close most of the street on weekends.  Parking is available at either end. There's a bunch of college-type eateries on Brown near Stewart...Smash Burger to Jimmy's Ladder.  Stewart is between the UD and close to the UD Arena.   Dayton and the area really do support and encourage college basketball. There are a bunch of coffee bistros near Wayne.  For historic-early American beer try the Carillon Brewery. Note that I'm steering clear of chains.  There are more breweries downtown and around.  There is a really interesting cocktail/bourbon bar on Jefferson...the Century Bar.   Enjoy.
