He spelled IU $U on it. It was an unnecessary shot at IU and baiting IU fans to respond. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I'd like to see that. And heck yes he baits people to respond. That's what he's paid to do. That helps numbers....and it's my point. I doubt he really buys into a lot of the things he says that are ridiculous. Quote
HoosierAloha Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I absolutely love some of what Danica does. His encouragement on people quitting chewing and dip, auctioning off a cohost for a day for cancer awareness week, and other charitable events. The way he goes about his business gets to me though. The consistent berating, better, and more knowledgeable than everyone gets at me. That’s the main reason I stopped listening and following him. He gets on his high horse and never steps down. What is your particular problem with him? I listen frequently. He's an entertainer. Paid to do just that. He's not paid to be boring and put on an act. He's not paid to tell listeners what they want to hear or sugar coat. That'd be just like everyone else. Like Mike Greenberg. No thank you. Guy's being himself and personally? I hear a hell of a lot more truth than I do "insufferability." He's spot on as it relates to the BOT and Fred Glass's bull crap and he's spot on about lots of things. People may hate him, but they listen. Same as they listen to Rush Limbaugh. Sometimes, raw and unpopular truths don't sit well. Think of his rating for a minute. In Indianapolis, IN....The #1 local sports talk show in the country. He's doing a whole lot very, very right. "Rated" the number 1 local sports talk show in the country by who? And you are talking about # of listeners, then at best you could be talking about midday shows.....which isn't where the big audiences are, which are drive time shows. But if ratings = knowledge, then Skip Bayless is knowledgeable. And if the measure of how well is by number of listeners....then he's behind anybody with a national show. Now, what is my particular problem with him? Even when he's not on his show, he's 'on his show'. I'm fine not listening to his radio show, but he anytime I watch IU on ESPN, he isn't there to call the game. He comes in with an agenda. Tell me WHAT exactly he was doing today in the Kentucky/Tennessee game today when he spouts an opinion completely out of left field about Indiana. You could hear his co-host kind of taken aback. And the fact is the guy was a second rate coach who spent 11 years at Bowling Green, never made it to the dance nor won an NIT game. Yet he wants to constantly criticize coaches and tell everyone what 'he would have done'. Deserthoozier, MikeRoberts and Andrew_114 3 Quote

MikeRoberts Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I simply don't get it. There are people in the world who just want to argue and find the worst in everything and everybody. Whoever TheHoosierFanatic is has 45 followers and 228 tweets. Sorta' insignificant in the scheme of things. Just another guy with a keyboard and a problem. Dakich is a talk show host who has a show as successful as a local talk show can be. Pays a compliment to a team he's been hard on and this is the response. Every announcer I know of loves doing games with him. He's got 155,000 Twitter followers....for a reason. Just shaking my head. Some don't like his style, and I get that, but he ain't wrong! He wrong a lot... tons of examples have been shared for youSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

For anybody that still thinks Dakich 'is just saying the truth'.....here is a tweet of thirteens seconds of him 'announcing' during the Kentucky/Tennessee game today. https://twitter.com/marcum89/status/1091862164367966209 So dead in the middle of an SEC game he randomly attacks Indiana basketball once again. This isn't about him 'telling the truth'. This is about him griding an axe. Personally, I'm sick of it and I can't understand why ESPN puts up with his egotistical @$$. Kentucky played Tennessee today? Hmmmmm. Must be a "Bizzaro" universe. Been years ago, but I was working at IMS. Ran into Dan at a bar. He was very pleasant. And very drunk. But so was I. Quote
