Here is a concern. We have barely won a game since Christmas and our drastic changes was players standing up and giving their grievance. Should this not have happened in January or at anytime before the season is essentially over? Also concerned their is no clear path to get better. Fire archie no guarantee. Develope players on current roster probably not happening. Huge roster turnover is far from a guarantee as well. Consider me more concerned than I have ever been

Should it have happened sooner, sure. But I think this is what happens when you hire a young coach. He hasn’t seen it all and is still figuring things out himself.

I love some of these early comments about this topic. Lol I was overreacting supposedly.

I only went a couple of pages deep but I didn’t see many or any coming at you for this topic you started. I think most agree this has been a **** show.

Archie doesn’t seem willing to change what he does.

We are going to win or lose his way but the important thing is his way. Not sure how successful that can be at this level.

Michigan doesn’t play the same way all the time. Duke doesn’t but to be fair their roster turnover its obvious.

I believe when you have your type of players in your system for years it’s easier to make an adjustment here or there. We’re almost done with the season and we’re just now learning we have to give maximum effort just to be in games. Baby steps...

What do you propose he change or implement? Of course there were a few mistakes on his part tonight, but that’s so much easier to say looking at the game now. I thought the players played with the most effort I’ve seen in awhile, the coaches had a strong strategy, and we had the misfortune of some terrible officiating near the end of the game. It’s sad that this game and effort are outliers of this season, but I see no reason to complain about the coaching or effort level after this game.

I’m not citing specific things. I’m noting he doesn’t. And successful coaches do

I guess I don’t understand what this means. What do successful coaches change? I have never seen Roy Williams make massive changes in close to 30 years of coaching. There is literally no coach that doesn’t change little things. You are upset we are losing. But if you look at rotations. He is changing them. We are going through Davis in the post more and moving Juwan around. Minor tweaks here and there. But I don’t get what you mean by he is not changing but successful coaches do. I know a lot of people have come at you tonight and you to them and this isn’t it at all. I am just trying to understand what you mean.

I was just happy to see us looking like we somewhat knew how to attack a zone lol. If crean coached that game is say we lose by 10+.

I hope this doesn't come off as busting your b*lls because that is not what I am trying to do here.  I just remember Crean owning Iowa.  He was 7-3 against Iowa in his last 10 games against them.  IU ran like AAU ball against Iowa, and usually came away turning the ball over just a few times less than Iowa, and winning against them most of the time as the result.  I see your point though about the problems against zone defenses, but if you think back and remember, there wasn't a lot of half court offense by either team in those games.  I only say that for the sake of conversation, not to one-up you or anything.

But I must add, none of those Iowa teams that Crean beat were as good as the one Fran has now.

Maybe you are right, but I want to remind you that the 2015-2016 Iowa team was ranked 4th and 16th the two times we beat them that year.  I only watch Iowa when IU plays them, so I am anything but an expert on that program lol.

That is true...but that is the same Iowa team that tanked coming down the stretch.  But they were a fine squad...as were we.
