Might be doing so because those players may be shooters, so the jump to the ball (close out) is shorter.

It’s a completely different defense than we are running. I mean it may as well be on the other side of the world comparatively. Similar in name only.

I saw that too. They switched out of the pack line for 3-4 possessions and went back to it.
