Well, if you make at least 50% of your FTs and take away 3 or 4 of those ridiculous contested 3s it's a 20 point game. Those are two things I'm pretty sure won't continue to happen most of the season.

17 missed free throws, some front ends.  This should have been a 20 point victory.  Hoosiers shoot 54%, that will win a lot of games.  Despite Howard's crazy and sometimes ridiculous 3 point shooting, they only shot 36%.

Right but that 36% equates to 39 points from distance. That’s over half their points.

That was not an encouraging result. Loved Durham and Smith in this game though. 

Is it me or does Rojo look awful on defense? Needless fouls and looks like he’s getting beat / a step too slow vs Howard. BIG athletes will take advantage.

Not bashing, but I think it's just you. He had some great plays on D tonight.

A lot better effort tonight but, like others have pointed out, I don't like the body language of the bench at the end of the game.

Agreed but to be fair, it was CuJo (apparently in the dog house based on tweets from media sitting close to IU bench), Green (injured and frustrated with his 2nd half), and Morgan (injured) in that shot I thought.

I get such a weird vibe from this team.

- Seniors playing like freshmen and freshmen playing like seniors

- 17-26 from 3 one game for ISU. A bunch of ridiculous contested 3s by Howard tonight.

- 17 missed free throws. Not sure i’ve seen a team shoot that bad from the line.

- The dejection from our bench at the end of the game.

The only explanation I have is that the freshmen are much more moldable and came in without running Crean’s system. Josh and Rojo have had it engrained in them for years.

It very well could be just me. Eye test vs objective measurement and all that. But it seemed like every defensive lapse I noticed involved Johnson.

Just not encouraging overall. It's a lost, confused bunch.

Smith and Durham played well. Smith in particular. DD had a good game.

I don't know why these teams are killing us from 3. But we need to figure that out. We struggle scoring enough to make up for that.
