Also a ton of talent on campus this weekend for the first team camp Archie has ever had. Not as many teams as the past but only had a short time to get it together. If you are a good team in Indiana, then you were invited, if you have a D1 player on your roster than you were invited. So should be a fun weekend.

What is a team camp? Like I have a vague idea in my head from what I went to in high school but idk about IU's team camp format or anything.

High school teams bring their full team with their coaches and play against other high school teams in game format while Archie & assistants watch. Also head coaches and assistants can have full interactions with players since it's on campus. Current players will run the clock and scoreboard. High school officials will ref and parents can come to watch their kids play.

Oh okay nice! Sounds like a great thing for everyone involved.

Be careful posting too much or obvious details. The AD office has contacted the site in the past. We all of course appreciate any info, but would hate to see someone jeopardize something more important.

Definitely. A job is a lot more important than some basketball news. Well maybe, just make sure you send private messages instead of posting. ;) Lol jkjk welcome aboard.

I wouldn't mind two guards like Green and Durham running the show in a few years. However, I think we end up with an immediate impact 2018 PG.

I do think Green and Durham will make each other better over this and next summer. Neither one seems to have quit in them or backdown to another player. Durham won't get the minutes this coming season but he'll eventually be that pest other teams hate playing against.

Durham reminds me of those guys 4 years from now other teams fans mock for playing for 8 years. Those kids usually end up being the ones that sneakily win us games over them.

Thank you for the info. In other news Brian Snow just posted that Robert Carmody has picked ND.

I'm okay with that. I was worried he was going to pick Purdue and torment us for 4 years.

Yeah, me too although I woulda preferred someplace else. He looks like a ND kid.

NY2LASports - UPDATE WITH 2018 PF MARCUS BINGHAM JR.  No mention whatsoever of IU.

One of the hottest prospects, not only in the Midwest, but the country, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central 2018 power forward Marcus Bingham Jr. went from a relatively unknown prospect to a priority recruit for a number of programs. Grabbing all 13 of his scholarship offers since May, Bingham has become a ‘Plan A’ target for a number of strong programs.  “Michigan State, Butler, Purdue, Pittsburgh, DePaul, and Missouri are the teams I would say are the schools recruiting me most,” Bingham told NY2LA Sports.”  Bingham has other offers from Washington, Xavier, VCU, Bradley, Ferris State, Oakland, Towson, and Saint Joseph’s.  DePaul was the first to offer the sweet-shooting forward. The Blue Demons have a commitment from Bingham’s AAU teammate Tyger Campbell.  “When Tyger committed, I didn’t know DePaul offered me,” Bingham said. “They offered me after the second session and I didn’t know. Tyger talked to them and about two minutes later they called and offered me (again).  “He’s always in my ear about them.”  In-state and Big Ten power Michigan State is also pushing for Bingham.  I like that it’s a brotherhood there. All the guys are always together.”  Another Big Ten power, Purdue, has caught Bingham’s attention. The defending Big Ten champs hosted him earlier this month.  “It’s a great school,” he said. “They have a lot of good stuff going on with their program in the past years. They’ve sent some people to the draft. I wouldn’t say I’m similar to a lot of the bigs they’ve had, but I think I could have a big impact there and they would use me.” Bingham is also interested in Butler.  “I like everything,” he said. “The atmosphere, the relationship with the coaches...I’m really liking them. We’re all on the same page, I like the plan they have for me. That’s also a good school to attend.”  Michigan, Arkansas, Syracuse, and Maryland are showing interest in Bingham this summer.  “I would say Maryland, Michigan, and Syracuse are serious about me,” he said. “Maryland came down for a game during the season. I’ve been talking to their assistant. We’ve built a good relationship.  “Michigan started calling me after the EYBL sessions. We talk here and there. Same thing with Syracuse.”  During four Nike EYBL sessions, Bingham averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. The 6-foot-10, 200-pound forward shot 49.5 percent from the field, including 34.1 percent from 3-point range.  Bingham has no favorites at this time, but plans to narrow his list after July and then use his official visits.  “Me, my family, and my high school coach have been talking about it,” he said. “I really don’t know when I want to narrow it down, but after Peach Jam, I’ll probably cut it down to 10.”  Bingham plays for Spiece Indy Heat during the travel season.

Darius Bazley is on campus today and should  WILL get an offer. Also Brandon Johns hopefully makes his decision before the July evaluations start.

It seems to me that Darius would have to personally insult Archie's immediate family to prevent the offer from coming today!  ;)

If Johns does make his decision does that bode well for us?

It sounds like the decision will happen before July 12 but not sure. Does he want to leave East Lansing if yes than it does bode well for us, if not than no. Michigan just lost another assistant yesterday so I wonder if that would affect some of their recruiting.

The more I learn it sounds like it is either Michigan or us. MSU already has several commits for that class. 50/50 us and Michigan.
