From Chris Goff via twitter:

Point guard recruit. #iubb RT @Southstampede: Indiana Signee Al Durham @aldurham01 has asked for his release from Indiana University

Berkmar (Ga.) guard Al Durham Jr., ranked the No. 239 prospect nationally by the 247Composite, also requested his release on Monday, his father confirmed to Inside the Hall.

“Indiana is still an option,” Durham Sr. said. “The new coach would have to recruit him.”

Adios boys. Crean outdid himself with this class.

Kidding aside, it's for the best for all. I like Justin Smith and Clifton Moore but Durham is not that great. He and his family seemed really cool though.

This X 10.
Durham seems like a great kid, but there's not one thing he really excels at.

The transfer season is upon us. A year ago, there were about 100 college basketball players who decided to leave and go elsewhere at the semester break. Then another 600 or so departed after the season ended.

This was on ESPN.com in January.  The point is that even if our new coach is late getting into the game, there is a huge pool of players to look at in the transfer pool but also still uncommitted '17's as well.  Now certainly, the talent level of the transfers isn't going to be 5-star but unless the whole darn roster leaves, the new coach can plug some holes for the '17-'18 season with the talent that is out there.  And if it's who most of us hope it is, I don't think the new coach will have a whole lot of problems in that regard.

If Donovan can attract a few Max Biefieldts that would be great

Very disappointed to see Clifton leave!! He will be a kid I follow throughout just cause I believe his ceiling is so high. Man he would have been fun to watch grow. Hope the new coach gives him a call.

I'm all in for durham. His attitude ....and his family... very IU. He would be a contributor x 4 years and would probably be a fan fave. He doesn't have the *****s but his tapes and stats say he was undervalued. What a shame.
