Not sure if my calculations are exact. Zeller, Oladipo, Vonleh, Blackmon Jr., OG and Bryant are the kids leaving early for the NBA. 7 left early (17%) leaving just ~41% that stayed at IU for 4 years and graduated. Quote

bhaggard89 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I'm excited about this Gelon news for a few reasons:-Gelon can go and actually play somewhere -It frees up a scholarship that was essentially being used on a walk-on quality player-Our first glimpse at how CAM will approach these "extra" scholarships. We will be able to see if he will get offer happy like Crean used to do. I'm hoping CAM does his due diligence and doesn't force an offer because there's an opening. WayneFleekHoosier Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I think they already had someone in mind. Next year still able to be a five man class. I'll be shocked if we Don't add someone. If we gave McBob a scholarship, wouldn't he then be entitled to one for his remaining years of eligibility? Not sure how that works now. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I'm pretty sure the Student Bill of Rights, doesn't pertain to maintaining team participation. Just that you're guaranteed 4 years of paid schooling and athletic prowess won't change that if you decide to become a non-athlete student, you still get paid schooling. I'd say, if you take a 3rd year student, never on scholarship here, and say, here's a free year, it won't be the same as offering it to a Freshman recruit. Quote
ap2345 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I think we should try and find a grad transfer post player so that way we have at least some size to back up Davis because that is the one area I think the roster is lacking imo. Crimson and Cream and Hardwood83 2 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 CAM needs to go after the highest rated Indiana kid left in the 2017 class for the last spot. Inside out. All in for Bowen.(sarcasm button) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Stuhoo, WayneFleekHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart and 1 other 4 Quote
HoosierHoops1 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 It doesn't look like there are any accomplished 'bigs' out there. MiKyle Mcintosh looks like the best front court prospect ar 6'7". Grad transfer 12.5 ppg and 5.6 reb. Would anyone be happy about a 5ppg a game scorer unknown like Ziesloft, big, if one was around? Quote

I bet some won't care but some that wouldn't have before will shy away from this now.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
