On Reddit we're getting murdered by fans from all the other teams based on this NIT debacle.  Basically a dogpile, everyone jumping on talking about how pretentious we are and how we're no longer a Blue Blood because we haven't done anything in 30 years.

Seriously, this sucks.  What a total disaster.  We're now a headline for being a total washed-up has-been program that can't help but do more dumb $#!+.

Steve please come home. Alford would be a great hire for IU. Would take the recruiting in state by storm and also now has connections all over the country. Most of all I want Crean gone.

You would think that with the kind of ego Glass most likely has, that he would WANT to make a good hire and replace Crean so that he can have the opportunity to be like "yeah that's right, that was ME who made that happen." You would think he would look at all the ecstatic fan base and just eat that alive.

I hope this delay in firing Crean won't end up with us behind Illinois for Bennett's services. I have to believe things will move quickly enough for that not to be the case, but there can't be any more delays. What is the hold up? Bennett's season could be over this time tomorrow.
