What makes the most sense to me...

Sunday/Monday presser to announce the split.

Crean coaches the NIT.

Deal with new coach gets finalized around the Final Four (depending on who it is, if they're still in the tournament, etc.)

New coach is announced early-mid April.

Banner 6 before 2020.

As posted, Crean took part in the B1G presser. I believe he flaked on Fisch again(big shocker).

I don't think that he flaked on Fisch I think its the timing of the post game pressers at the B1G tournament and NCAA tournament.

The one little thing that keeps coming to my mind with these Alford rumors are that his son graduated this yr.  Kinda leaves me with that impression that Steve is now at the point in his life where he can do what he wants without moving Bryce again.

I don't think that Alford is a guy who can unite a fractured fan base, and that worries me. He would be coming in with a portion of the fanbase already against him, and will make it harder to succeed. This hire needs to be someone that a vast majority can relate to, and support. Anything other than this could spell bad times ahead for Indiana basketball and push them further into the depths.
