A coach who recently won the Big Ten Championship, recruits well, enthusiastically promotes IU, and doesn't assault players. 

Also a coach who is sitting tied for 2nd to last in the B1G and has never finished higher than 5th besides the 2 years he won the conference. Two top 4 picks had a lot to do with one of those. He may not physically assault our players but he has damn sure mentally assaulted them lately!! I respect your opinion but not on this thread!!

And about the recruiting....he offered 21 schollys to top 50 kids not one accepted. Our highest ranked kid is in the 80s this year. If he recruits so well we would be consistently in the top 3 of our conference. You cant take the Victors and exclude the Prillers among several other kidsl either.

Oh the one that took the number 1 team in the country and got embarrassed in the sweet 16, the one that is an over rated recruiter, and the one that supports all the shenanigans that his teams did early on with slaps on the wrist including an OWI, and the one that got lucky that he had Yogi, and the easiest schedule in the big ten last year so he made another 3.5 million dollars.

Yeah? Calling players out but yet never takes an ounce of blame. What would you call that? If Crean said I suck so do my players honestly wouldnt have paid it that much attention but he didn't take a single shot at himself. You tell me kids confidence doesn't go down when their own coach is bashing them all over publicly? That is stuff you say in private unless you are willing to take blame yourself as well. So YEAH REALLY I would say a word that describes him perfectly that starts w a P and ends with a Y if I was allowed but I will let you assume what that word is.

If you only look at 2-3 years of his 18 year career, you would think he's a good coach.  The other 15-16 are the problem.

Don't fool yourself, Bob Knight was fired because he was no longer winning at an elite level; if he was still going to final fours and winning titles he wouldn't have gone anywhere.

Anyone who can promotes fundamentals, values the ball, teaches defense, and holds player accountable for their actions both during the game and off the court. 

 

And his contract value is based off who you find. If Donavon is an option his value is higher than Archie. It all depends. In my estimation if this talk has occurred they have a short list that have already been contacted and they know who is willing to say yes

Here's an idea.  Someone take this "WestCoastView" and Crean out west, drop them off in Oklahoma City and bring Donovan back.
