HoosierAloha Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 In the gym is semi active on Twitter. Always wanted to ID him. Had a small spat with DD the other day regarding AJ Guyton What's his handle or username or Twitter name or whatever it is called on Twitter? Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 @janitorinthegym. Seems connected to Jordan Hulls in some way. Always assumed he was a basketball manager. Don't really know. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Popular Post rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2016 Not sure if this is the appropriate thread but I liked Marni's tweets today about Crean's emphasis on academics. She tweeted that Crean has a 100% graduation rate for players who complete their eligibility at IU. I know some will gripe about all the transfers but that's still a pretty awesome stat for the players who stay. She also discussed how Crean requires her to give him an academic update on each of the players every day. Now that is staying on top of things! We've had a lot of gripes and complaints with Crean over the years---but academic performance is not one of them. The boys have averaged a 3.1 GPA during the Crean era. (We won't talk about the Sampson era) Well done in the academics area Marni, Coach Crean, Staff, and to our student-athletes! Yogi'sBicep, hoosierfan6157, Bobman1 and 9 others 12 Quote

To me, this is amazing to hear. If anything, TW has and education to fall back on. Anymore, the 3 year degree has to be the norm players aspiring to make the next step in basketball. rebelhoosier848891 1 Quote

This philosophy is going to turn into a even more useful recruiting tool once the 1 and done rule is changed. I believe that this will change in the next 5 years. A kid who is being pushed by those close to him to leave for the NBA as soon as possible leaving with a degree is crucial to his success in life. No matter what, he will have an opportunity to succeed, either in basketball or in a more standard path through life. Really happy for him. ALASKA HOOSIER, lillurk and Naturalhoosier 3 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 If JBJ didn't get hurt what would this team (and defense) look like? What kind of changes would Crean have made? any? Was it by "luck" that our balling changed? Just wanted to see what you guys are thinking....those are the 2 big questions in my head. 1). Is this run related to JB going down and changes related? 2). Is this run based on easy scheduling? We will find out very soon. We definitely 'seem' better post JB. No doubt about that even consider our precon cupcakes vs our con cupcakes, pre and post JB. Just wanted to see what you guys are thinking....I listened to coaches radio show last night and found it interesting that he went out of his way to bring up jbj on a couple of occasions. He said that because they lost james they had to work twice as hard on their spacing because jbj wasn't out there to draw attention from the defense. He has defended james at every opportunity and basically says the difference is the guys are just getting it now from all the work they have been putting in. If anybody else listened that didn't have two little girls screaming at them and can add to what all he said I would like to hear it. It was interesting though Naturalhoosier, HoosierAloha, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote

It was interesting though He's gotta be the biggest JBJ supporter out there. Good to see, but sometimes it seems like he hasn't treated JBJ objectively based on his all-around performance in games. Seems unwilling to punish JBJ for poor defense during a game. Quote
