Because this fanbase claims to be different. It claims to be the benchmark of passion, class, and basketball knowledge. We love to hold the program and everyone in it to the highest standard; better hold ourselves to that standard as well.

at what length? I 100% believe in being classy and treating people with respect, but that begs the question, how do the fans voice displeasure?

These message boards turn into the kind of places people can discuss frustrations with the program.

Twitter and Facebook is the modernized version of these forums but it's a free for all with people of all Ilk.

We are the unique blue blood not living up to our potential so our fanbase will be louder.

I think it's great so many are so passionate.

The ones I don't get are the ones that say "banner or bust". That's unfair expectations. Like others have said, we just need to be perennial B1G contenders and the fanbase will quiet IMO.

We're a know it all fanbase who doesn't trust those in power to do their job. I can't count the number of times someone has said the players, coaches, AD, President, or all of the above should hit the road because they don't know what they're doing.

When results are inadequate, either in business or sports, the leaders take the blame. As they should more often than not.

And we like to fancy ourselves the ones who KNOW what is inadequate and WHEN said leaders are incapable of meeting expectations.

idk, it's fandom. It's the nature of expecting great things. Maybe the administration wants the fans to settle for mediocrity. I'm glad we aren't and we are voicing displeasure. When we stop caring, we are no better than any other middle tier program out there.

I don't get where there is this notion that middle tier schools settle for mediocrity and are content with that. I don't think we have to spew the same things over and over for everyone to know where we are. I also don't get why that makes someone care more? I do not like where this team is headed. I do think Crean should go. I will be in B'town for multiple games because I love this University. I have the utmost confidence there is much more dialogue going on behind the scenes than we can imagine. That's a large part of Glass' job beyond graduating kids.

I agree with that. I am not a fan of how we act to voice our displeasure. I think there are more mature ways to handle it. But to each their own outside of the board. On the board, we aren't going to allow negativity for the sake of being negative. That's gotten old.

I'm not "attacking" our fanbase. My statements have been pretty realistic.
