Well, that was fun. Nothing quite like spending the last couple of months in close quarters with others openly hoping we lose like they are fans of other teams. For my sake I hope we make a change to make game threads bearable again. I know I can't take another season of the board like this. I found Scout about 10 years ago, and began discussing all things IU with a group of fans that were fun to be around during the games. I understand wanting the change. I want it too. The games have been overboard. Much like recruiting threads, they should have been off limits imo.

I don't understand what's been so bad about the board. There's 100's of people on here, not everyone is going to see eye to eye on certain situations. Not everyone is going to want the same thing for IU right now. I think it's been pretty darn interesting myself. The attitudes have been up and down a lot during wins and losses which can be pretty annoying. Hopefully things settle down soon

Didn't see anyone post this. What is a Maryland fan doing saying this? Making fun of the Crean/Meyer altercation?



Edit: I really wish tweets would post. It's a Maryland fan telling Crean he ruined the program lol.

It's not about the attitudes or wants for the team. I am sorry you gathered that from what I said. I am specifically discussing the Game Threads. There are plenty of threads for discussing all things being Crean being fired. Why sit here for two hours during a game thread openly hoping we lose? Shouldn't that aspect to fans at least be sacred? Is there no respect for others trying to enjoy the games? All other aspects of this board are better since we stepped down as mods. 100%. This aspect imo took a step back. There was no discussion about the games. The last two months have been a group openly rooting every other team we are playing. 100% he should be fired, and probably should have after 2015. I am on an IU board, during an IU game thread. I don't want to see every other post cheering the other team. If that is the way it is, so be it. I think that is one area this site can improve. If it can't, then I am speaking to myself and will be quiet.

I think that fan was throwing the Meyer incident back at him.  It's kind of entertaining, but he went too far.  I want Crean gone as much as the next person and even I wouldn't have gone that far; the program is better than when he got here, even if it seems to be trending the wrong direction.
